  • Patent number: 11090260
Abstract: A single use applicator described herein allows for simplicity while ensuring that only the necessary amount of product in each compartment is utilized when needed. The inventive drug delivery device includes a housing with two compartments, each containing substances separated by a barrier or membrane which can be broken apart by applying pressure to the housing. One end of the applicator includes a tapered nozzle and cap which can be twisted off when ready to use. Once the barrier or membrane is broken, the two components, liquid and powder, will mix creating the end product. After the two components have been mixed and the user is ready to apply the end product, the user will twist the cap off of the device and apply pressure to the applicator housing in order to force the substance through the nozzle and into the eye, nasal passage, ear canal or other part of the body.

  • Patent number: 11095933
Abstract: The described examples provide for output of first content from a first source of a set top box output terminal for presentation in the full display area of display device. In response to receiving a wait request from a user input device, the outputting of the first content is switching to outputting second content from a second set top box source. While outputting the second content for presentation on the display device, the first content currently being provided by the first source is periodically output for a predetermined duration in a display device portion inset within the full display area that is presenting the second source content. In response to a return input from the user input device, the set top box switches from outputting the second content source to outputting first content currently obtained from the first source.

  • Patent number: 11095906
Abstract: A higher coding efficiency for coding a significance map indicating positions of significant transform coefficients within a transform coefficient block is achieved by the scan order by which the sequentially extracted syntax elements indicating, for associated positions within the transform coefficient block, as to whether at the respective position a significant or insignificant transform coefficient is situated, are sequentially associated to the positions of the transform coefficient block, among the positions of the transform coefficient block depends on the positions of the significant transform coefficients indicated by previously associated syntax elements. Alternatively, the first-type elements may be context-adaptively entropy decoded using contexts which are individually selected for each of the syntax elements dependent on a number of significant transform coefficients in a neighborhood of the respective syntax element, indicated as being significant by any of the preceding syntax elements.

  • Patent number: 11093937
Abstract: System(s), method(s), and device(s) that generate and use single-use financial account card numbers (SUFACNs) to facilitate secure processing of financial transactions are presented. A user registers a financial account(s) with a financial transaction platform (FTP), a user profile comprising user-related information is created, and a personal identification number (PIN) is associated with the user. When making a purchase locally or online, the user's portable communication device (PCD) accesses the FTP via an application or web site, the PCD synchronizes with the FTP, and the PCD and FTP each respectively generate the same SUFACN(s) based in part on time of generation and PIN. The SUFACN is presented to the seller's register component via scanning (e.g., when SUFACN is a barcode) or entering the SUFACN. The register component sends the SUFACN to the FTP, which interacts with the user's financial account(s) to facilitate payment.

  • Patent number: 11093346
Abstract: An apparatus for performing backup operations for data packets by a backup agent is provided. The apparatus predicts a first backup time period of completing a first backup operation for the data packets and determines a second backup time period of performing the first backup operation until the first backup operation is stopped at a point of time. The apparatus also identifies an incomplete status of the first backup operation at the point of time based on a comparison between the first backup time period and the second backup time period, and collects information describing the incomplete status. The apparatus further starts a second backup operation for the data packets from the incomplete status based on the information.
