A user selection identifying a selected portion of the plurality of operating media players is received. And, an indication is provided allowing a media player in the selected portion access to a presentation device.

Abstract: A user interface allows for blending of television program choices from which a viewer may select, the blending representing options for linear and non-linear programming presented together within a single hierarchy of a designated category. The blending may further include managed content relevant to the designated category, where desired. Such designated categories may include television programming categories and/or content categories. The options for linear and non-linear programming may be presented together within a single screen of the user interface.

Abstract: A device and method for assisting a user in photographing a vehicle for documenting a condition of the vehicle. The method includes receiving information regarding the vehicle and displaying a graphic overlay of the vehicle. A video image of the vehicle is captured with a camera and is displayed with the graphical overlay. The video image of the vehicle is aligned with the graphical overlay of the vehicle and the image of the vehicle is stored. The graphical overlay can be oriented on the screen in a manner so that the stored image of the vehicle is captured at a predetermined horizontal angle, vertical height and/or vehicle size. The photograph of the vehicle can be attached to an insurance estimate. Standardizing the horizontal angle, vertical and/or vehicle size of the photographed vehicle promotes consistency and uniformity in the estimating process.

Abstract: In one aspect, the invention comprises a system for control of a transaction state system utilizing a distributed ledger. First, the system includes an application plane layer adapted to receive instructions regarding operation of the transaction state system. Preferably, the application plane layer is coupled to the application plane layer interface. Second, a control plane layer is provided, the control plane layer including an adaptive control unit, such as a cognitive computing unit, artificial intelligence unit or machine-learning unit. Third, a data plane layer includes an input interface to receive data input from one or more data sources and to provide output coupled to a decentralized distributed ledger, the data plane layer is coupled to the control plane layer. Optionally the decentralized distributed ledger stores data on cryptocurrency.

Abstract: Provided are examples of removable circularly polarized antenna fitment and methods of fabrication. In one aspect, a fitment comprises a plurality of conductive elements spaced radially around a central point contained with a housing. The elements may have an included angle of between 8 and 71 degrees from horizontal. The plurality of conducting elements may be straight, bent, or curved and may be comprised of between 3 and 12 conductors. The fitment may contain a housing which is removable from a linear antenna.

Abstract: The present disclosure includes an LED lamp assembly comprising a glass envelope, an LED platform supported by a stem arrangement disposed within the envelope, a base hermetically sealed to the envelope, a gas disposed within the envelope providing thermal conductivity between the LED platform and the envelope, and a getter disposed within the envelope for absorbing volatile organic compounds. The lamp may maintain a ratio of helium to oxygen that achieves both an acceptable thermal conductivity and an acceptable lumen output over the life of the LED lamp.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are provided for restricting access to a web resource. Website access information is obtained by monitoring accesses to a plurality of websites for each access, which may include a network identifier of an access requestor, a website identifier, and an access time for each request. Based on at least the website access information, it may be determined that a particular access requestor has accessed a number of different websites in a given time period. As a result, the particular access requestor may be classified as a web robot. A request to permit access to a web resource is received by the particular access requestor. In response to receiving the request to permit access to the web resource, the particular access requestor is prevented from accessing the web resource and/or a notification is generated that the particular access requestor is attempting to access the web resource.

Abstract: A location of an object of interest (205) is determined using both observations and non-observations. Numerous images (341-345) are stored in a database in association with image capture information, including an image capture location (221-225). Image recognition is used to determine which of the images include the object of interest (205) and which of the images do not include the object of interest. For each of multiple candidate locations (455) within an area of the captured images, a likelihood value of the object of interest existing at the candidate location is calculated using the image capture information for images determined to include the object of interest and using the image capture information for images determined not to include the object of interest. The location of the object is determined using the likelihood values for the multiple candidate locations.

Abstract: Systems and methods for authenticating access to multiple data stores substantially in real-time are disclosed. The system may include a server coupled to a network, a client device in communication with the server via the network and a plurality of data stores. The server may authenticate access to the data stores and forward information from those stores to the client device. An exemplary authentication method may include receipt of a request for access to data. Information concerning access to that data is stored and associated with an identifier assigned to a client device. If the identifier is found to correspond to the stored information during a future request for access to the store, access to that store is granted.

The system determines, responsive to an instruction to execute the call-to-action, a mode of execution. The system selects a digital assistant and a second client device to execute the call-to-action. The system transmits the call-to-action to the second client device for execution.

Abstract: A muscle activating and exercising device and a method of activating and exercising muscles of the human body. The device includes an outer material and at least one flexible inner material. The device is an elongated device that is pliable enough to be wrapped around an object. The device also has an outer surface that creates a frictional fit between the device and the wrapped object. The wrapped object could be, for example, a wrist or ankle on a human limb or a location on a portion of sports equipment (e.g., a lacrosse stick, baseball bat, hockey stick, golf club or tennis racket). The method includes a method of activating muscles using the device. Through such a method, a user can, for example, build muscle strength and/or reduce muscle tremors.

Abstract: A method for depositing a functional material on a substrate is disclosed. An optically transparent plate having a first surface and a second surface with one or more wells is provided. After coating the second surface with a thin layer of light-absorbing material, the wells are filled with a functional material. The plate is then irradiated with a pulsed light to heat the layer of light-absorbing material in order to generate gas at an interface between the layer of light-absorbing material and the functional material to release the functional material from the wells onto a receiving substrate located adjacent to the plate.

Abstract: An electronic rack includes a number of server chassis arranged in a stack. Each server chassis includes one or more servers and each server includes one or more processors. The electronic rack further includes a number of cooling chassis corresponding to the server chassis. Each cooling chassis is configured to provide liquid cooling to the processors of the server chassis. The cooling chassis includes a cooling module having one or more cooling devices arranged and positioned vertical aligned with the processors of the corresponding server chassis to extract the heat generated from the processors. The cooling chassis further includes a cooling unit coupled to the cooling modules to form a cooling loop to circulate the cooling liquid between the cooling devices and the cooling unit to cool the cooling liquid carrying the heat extracted from the cooling devices. A natural convection cooling loop is assembled and adapted on the cooling chassis.

For example, a computing device comprises a personalized entity repository having fixed sets of entities from an entity repository stored at a server, a processor, and memory storing instructions that cause the computing device to identify fixed sets of entities that are relevant to a user based on context associated with the computing device, rank the fixed sets by relevancy, and update the personalized entity repository using selected sets determined based on the rank and on set usage parameters applicable to the user. In another example, a method includes generating fixed sets of entities from an entity repository, including location-based sets and topic-based sets, and providing a subset of the fixed sets to a client, the client requesting the subset based on the client's location and on items identified in content generated for display on the client.

Abstract: A remotely controlled VTOL aircraft includes an autopilot subsystem outputting helicopter control signals, and an autopilot subsystem outputting fixed wing control signals. A transition control subsystem is configured to receive said helicopter control signals, said fixed wing control signals, and a transition control signal. Control signals to be applied to the VTOL aircraft controls are calculated as a function of the transition percentage and weighting factors applied to the helicopter control signals and said fixed wing control signals.

Abstract: Systems and methods for autofocusing an objective lens in a microscope system. A self-calibrating autofocus system includes a light source, a decentered aperture, and image-capturing device. The system may be connected to the microscope system so that the light source generates a light on an optical path that includes the objective lens and a plate having a reference surface proximal to a sample holding component. The image capturing device images a reflection of light from the reference surface as the objective lens moves to a series of z-positions. A reference calibration slope is generated for the objective lens by determining positions of the images taken at the z-positions of the objective lens. At least one image having a particular attribute corresponds to a best focus position. The objective lens is moved to predicted best focus or preferred offset from calibrated best focus using the reference calibration slope.
