Abstract: An ancillary system for a motor vehicle is provided. The system comprises a housing; a duct for carrying a fluid to or from the housing, wherein the duct comprises a duct portion and a connector portion connecting the duct to the housing, wherein the duct portion is spaced apart from the housing in a first direction; and a spacer, the spacer being coupled to one of the duct and the housing and arranged between the duct and the housing to reduce a dimension of a gap between the duct and the housing in the first direction, and thereby reduce a displacement of the duct in the first direction during a collision. A motor vehicle assembly comprising the air ancillary system is also provided.

Abstract: An imaging directional backlight apparatus includes a waveguide and a light source array, providing large area directed illumination from localized light sources. The waveguide may include a stepped structure, and the steps may further include extraction features optically hidden to guided light, propagating in a forward direction. Returning light propagating in a backward direction may be refracted, diffracted, or reflected by the features to provide discrete illumination beams exiting from the top surface of the waveguide. Viewing windows are formed through imaging individual light sources and define the relative positions of system elements and ray paths. The imaging directional backlight apparatus further includes a control system for controlling the light output directional distribution in an automotive or vehicle environment in dependence on the output from sensors mounted on the vehicle.
Abstract: Disclosed are various examples for remotely restricting client devices. A client device can be placed into a restricted mode in which application switching capabilities of the client device are disabled. Additionally, the client device can transmit screen capture data to a management service, which can provide the ability for an administrator user to monitor data shown on a display associated with the client device. The client device can also be removed from the restricted mode in response to a command sent from the management service to the client device.

Abstract: A composition comprising a synthetic growth factor analogue comprising a non-growth factor heparin binding region, a linker and a sequence that binds specifically to a cell surface receptor and an osteoconductive material where the synthetic growth factor analogue is attached to and can be released from the osteoconductive material and is an amplifier/co-activator of osteoinduction.
Abstract: A suture anchor assembly, adapted to be attached to a bone, that includes an anchor, which has an undeployed state in which it is soft and flexible, and which can be deployed into a deployed state which is compacted and hard, relative to the undeployed state, and defining a hold region, where the anchor is optimally held as the anchor is deployed. Also, one or more deployment strands are engaged into the anchor and extend out of the anchor, and wherein, when the anchor is in the undeployed state, holding the anchor at the hold region and pulling on the deployment strands compacts the anchor into the deployed state. Accordingly, the anchor can be introduced into a hole in bone and held in place at the hold region, as it is transformed into the deployed state by pulling on the deployment strands, thereby anchoring the anchor in the hole.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a network device includes an uplink port, a downlink port, a memory, and a processor. The processor is configured for providing a webserver; receiving a request from a mobile device of a user to establish a connection with the downlink port; establishing a first connection between the mobile device and the webserver via the downlink port; determining a media access control (MAC) address of the mobile device; receiving, from a server, user history information associated with the MAC address; and providing targeted information to the mobile device based on the user history information. The processor may be further configured for querying the server using the MAC address to obtain the user history information, collecting new user information and transmitting updated user history information to the server.
Abstract: A massage kit having a foam roller, a massage device, and a removable cover. The massage device includes a flat bottom surface with a curved top surface. Protrusions extend from the massage device and are configured to interact with the removable cover to hold the cover in place on the top surface or the bottom surface of the massage device. The roller includes an opening sized and dimensioned to receive the massage device.
Abstract: The present invention encompasses oils that have anti-inflammatory or resolution-stimulating activity that contain or are enriched with Specialized Proresolving Mediators (SPM) or SPM precursors, which originate from an oil obtained from organisms containing long chain omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, such as fish, crustaceae, algae, and mollusks. The invention also encompasses a method for the production of these oils, and the utilization of the oils for nutritional supplements, pharmaceutical formulations, and cosmetic formulations, which can be employed for treating an inflammatory condition.
