During implantation, the frame engages the inner surface of the vein wall and is biased against the vein wall to remain stationary. In use, blood flows from an upstream end to a downstream end, wherein the membrane mitigates regurgitation of the blood as the blood is conveyed through the subject vein.

    Abstract: A case for a portable electronic device that includes a device stand attached to a back surface of the case housing is disclosed herein. The device stand is formed by an inner stand and an outer stand connected by releasable hinged connections that are connected to the back surface of the case housing. One or more tracks are formed on an inner surface of the outer stand. The inner stand slides along the one or more tracks. A locking portion such as a cavity or channel on the outer stand locks the inner stand into an open position with respect to the outer stand. At least a portion of the outer stand is flexible such that applying a threshold pressure to the case causes the portion of the outer stand to flex, releasing the inner stand from the locking portion to allow the inner and outer stands to be closed.

    Abstract: A direct mate orthogonal connector for a high density of high speed signals. The connector may include right angle leadframe assemblies with signal conductive elements and ground shields held by a leadframe housing. High frequency performance may be achieved with members on the leadframe that transfer force between a connector housing, holding the leadframe assemblies, and a portion of the leadframe housing holding the signal conductive elements and the shields near their mounting ends. Core members may be inserted into the housing and mating ends of the conductive elements of ground shields may be adjacent the core members, enabling electrical and mechanical performance of the mating interface to be defined by the core members. The core members may incorporate insulative and lossy features that may be complex to form as part of the connector housing but may be readily formed as part of a separate core member.

In some cases, photoplethysmography data can also be used to assist in processing of the ECG data. The various types of data can be acquired from sensors on a wearable device. The wearable device can be removably coupled to a user's skin, such as via an adhesive substrate. In some cases, the wearable device can include a reusable electronics module that couples to replaceable electrodes on a replaceable adhesive substrate.

The system may also activate the vehicle puddle lamps based on vehicle sensor triggers associated with vehicle location, based on population and pedestrian density indicative of potential message viewers indicating when pedestrians are close enough to the vehicle to view the advertisement, and based on ridehail activity such as ridehail user information, and seat assignments.     Abstract: A vehicle ridesharing system includes a user interface used to interact with rideshare passengers. The interface matches a selected user identifier with a PIN index and sends the PIN index to a vehicle body control module (BCM) of the vehicle through an unsecure communication channel. The BCM uses the PIN index to select a salt value and a nonce associated with a unique user associated with the PIN index, and sends a salt and a nonce back to the interface through the unsecure channel. The user enters a PIN value into the interface to authenticate their identity for the rideshare service. The interface generates a first hash result by hashing the PIN value with the salt and the nonce received from the BCM, and sends the hashed result back to the BCM for authentication.

    Abstract: The present invention is broadly concerned with new in vitro glycosylation methods that provide rational approaches for producing glycosylated proteins, and the use of glycosylated proteins. In more detail, the present invention comprises methods of glycosylating a starting protein having an amino sidechain with a nucleophilic moiety, comprising the step of reacting the protein with a carbohydrate having an oxazoline moiety on the reducing end thereof, to covalently bond the amino sidechain of the starting protein with the oxazoline moiety, wherein the glycosylated protein substantially retains the structure and function of the starting protein. Target proteins include oxidase, oxidoreductase and dehydrogenase enzymes. The glycosylated proteins advantageously have molecular weights of at least about 7500 Daltons. In a further embodiment, the present invention concerns the use of glycosylated proteins, fabricated by the methods disclosed herein, in the assembly of amperometric biosensors.
