  • Patent number: 12169730
Abstract: Techniques that enable a hypervisor to (1) maintain shared memory pages and (2) handle memory accounting for VMs that are suspended to and resumed from the volatile memory of a host system are provided. Regarding (1), the hypervisor can maintain shared memory pages in volatile memory across the suspend-to-memory and resume-from-memory operations, without having to save their reference counts. Regarding (2), the hypervisor can keep track of the volatile memory reserved and consumed by VMs as they are suspended and resumed, without erroneously double counting that memory.

  • Patent number: 12169764
Abstract: Implementations set forth herein relate to an automated assistant that can adapt to circumstances in which a user may invoke an automated assistant with an intention of interacting with the automated assistant via a non-default interface. For example, in some instances, a user may invoke an automated assistant by selecting a selectable GUI element. In response, the automated assistant can determine that, in the current context, spoken utterances may not be suitable for providing to the automated assistant. Based on this determination, the automated assistant can cause a keyboard interface to be rendered and/or initialized for receiving typed inputs from the user. Should the user subsequently change contexts, the automated assistant can determine that voice input is now suitable for user input and initialize an audio interface in response to the user providing an invocation input in the subsequent context.

  • Patent number: 12169588
Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses are described that implement the secure external data storage. A computing system may include a system-on-chip as a main processing complex and one or more secure elements that execute specialized functions related to sensitive information. While the secure element may use an external flash for storage for performance reasons, storing sensitive information on an external flash may expose the sensitive information if the external flash is ever compromised. The disclosed techniques and apparatuses provide an integrated secure element, of a system-on-chip, which leverages a secure channel with a secure flash to manage a cryptographic key for securing sensitive information stored on an unsecured external flash to prevent the exposure of sensitive information.

  • Patent number: 12169293
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating real images via retroreflection are provided. An image source may project light beams, which are received at a beam splitter. The beam splitter, positioned between a retroreflector and a viewing area, may reflect the light beams toward the retroreflector. In turn, the light beams may be reflected back from the retroreflector and toward and through the beam splitter to generate a real image that appears to a viewer to be floating in the viewing area. A controller may control the image source to adjust the real image based on a control parameter detected by at least one sensor.

  • Patent number: 12169891
Abstract: There is a method of computing a stylized, animatable representation of a subject from a family of stylized animatable representations. The method comprises: accessing a realistic representation of the subject; computing a mesh mapping using a model that was formed using a data set of training examples which pair realistic representations of other subjects with instances of the family. The method also comprises applying the mesh mapping to the realistic representation of the subject to produce a target mesh; and selecting the stylized animatable representation from the family, by assessing closeness of the target mesh with instances of the family.
