Abstract: This document describes methods, devices, systems, procedures, and means of maintaining communication and signaling interfaces during network role transitions, such as a secondary node change or a handover. A source secondary base station holds a source donor Central Unit (Source CU) for its own Distributed Unit (source DU) and for the Distributed Unit(s) of the node base station(s) (node DU). The source secondary base station connects to the node base station via a first F1 interface. The node DU triggers handover of the node base station and connected User Equipment (UE) from the source secondary base station to a target secondary base station. The node base station creates Transport Network Layer (TNL) connectivity toward a target donor Central Unit (Target CU) and exchanges application layer configuration data with the Target CU via a wireless backhaul link implemented utilizing the TNL connectivity.

Abstract: Embodiments include a primary short circuit (PSC) coupled to a primary side of a transformer and a dampening element, coupled to a transducer coupled to a secondary side of the transformer, configured to dampen a received signal during a portion of a reverberation period. The PSC and the dampening element may be activated substantially simultaneously. Activation of the PSC circuit mitigates a parallel resonance otherwise arising, in part, in the transducer, but, increases the received signal by a DC shift voltage. The dampening element dampens the DC shift voltage. The received signal may be dampened prior to amplification of the received signal by an amplifier. The dampening facilitates earlier and more precise measurement, during the reverberation period, of at least one operating characteristic for the PAS sensor. Another embodiment prevents the DC shift voltage by selectively activating the PSC within a determined time of a zero-crossing of a given signal.

Abstract: A device providing multiple-functionality for use as a standing desk, podium, or a lap desk is disclosed. The device includes a platform and a support arm. The first end of the support arm hingedly connects underneath the platform. In one implementation, the device includes a strap extending from underneath the platform and connecting the support arm. The strap controls the angle of the support arm with respect to the platform and ensures the support arm stays in position. The device further includes a lip extending underneath one end of the platform. The lip mounts over the top of one side of a backrest of a chair. The other end of the support arm rests against opposite side of the backrest of the chair, causing the platform to mount substantially parallel to the ground and substantially perpendicular to the backrest of chair to use the platform as a standing desk. In one implementation, the support arm collapses under the platform, thereby allowing the platform for use as a lap desk.

Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a highly portable grill having an outer casing enclosing an inner cook box that acts as a heatsink to dissipate thermal energy, the outer casing being mechanically attached to the inner cook box at attachment points that function as thermal chokepoints for controlled conduction of thermal energy. In an illustrative example, the inner cook box may be mechanically attached to the outer casing via complementary screws and bosses to provide a limited thermal conduction pathway. The inner cook box may include a plurality of fins for added thermal energy dissipation. The outer casing may include a plurality of convection apertures to facilitate convective flow of thermal energy from the inner cook box to an external ambient environment. A limited thermal conduction pathway may beneficially allow the outer casing to be safe-to-touch while the inner cook box is still in use.

Abstract: Methods and systems for low-force, low-temperature thermocompression bonding. The present application teaches new methods and structures for three-dimensional integrated circuits, in which cold thermocompression bonding is used to provide reliable bonding. To achieve this, reduction and passivation steps are preferably both used to reduce native oxide on the contact metals and to prevent reformation of native oxide, preferably using atmospheric plasma treatments. Preferably the physical compression height of the elements is set to be only enough to reliably achieve at least some compression of each bonding element pair, compensating for any lack of flatness. Preferably the thermocompression bonding is performed well below the melting point. This not only avoids the deformation of lower levels which is induced by reflow techniques, but also provides a steep relation of force versus z-axis travel, so that a drastically-increasing resistance to compression helps to regulate the degree of thermocompression.
