Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for operating a cylinder of an engine including a pre-chamber system. In one example, a method includes flowing gases from a pre-chamber to a cylinder of an engine prior to fueling the cylinder during a combustion cycle, adjusting a composition of the gases by adjusting at least one of an air injection amount to the pre-chamber and a fuel injection amount to the pre-chamber, and igniting an air-fuel mixture in the cylinder via a pre-chamber ignition event, the air-fuel mixture in the cylinder including the gas from the pre-chamber. In this way, combustion qualities in the cylinder may be adjusted in order to increase a performance and/or an efficiency of the cylinder.

Abstract: There is provided a method that includes initiating a transmission of a first media program of one or more media programs from a provider to a primary receiver authorized to receive the first media program, the first media program having media content, and receiving media data from a secondary receiver, the media data generated by the secondary receive from the media content reproduced and provided by the primary receiver to the secondary receiver. The method also includes comparing the media data received from the secondary receiver with the media content transmitted by the provider to the primary receiver to determine a match between the media data received from the secondary receiver and the media content transmitted by the provider to the primary receiver, and authorizing reception of the one or more media programs by the secondary receiver when the comparing determines the match.

Abstract: A landing pad receives and stores packages delivered from an aerial vehicle and awaiting pickup from an aerial vehicle. The landing pad can be placed outside of a window and can contain a transmitter for sending out an identification signal via radio frequency to aid aerial vehicles in finding the landing pad. The landing pad contains a landing platform with a trapdoor that leads to a storage compartment. The trapdoor can be configured to only open when it receives a signal from an authorized aerial vehicle. The storage compartment can be accessed via a storage compartment door which can contain a locking mechanism. The storage compartment can be climate controlled. The landing pad can also have a transmitter that emits sounds to discourage animals from nesting on or near the landing pad. The landing pad can also include a solar power generator as a source of electrical energy.
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for liquefied natural gas production facilities are disclosed herein. A liquefied natural gas (LNG) production facility includes a liquefaction unit that condenses natural gas vapor into liquefied natural gas; an electric-driven compression system for the refrigerant(s) in power to the liquefaction unit; and a sequestration compression unit configured to compress and convey at least one CO2-rich stream towards a sequestration site, thereby reducing the overall emissions from the LNG facility.

Abstract: A hydrostatic transmission system includes a fluid-driven motor and an integrated pump assembly connected to the fluid-driven motor to provide fluid to operate the fluid-driven motor. The integrated pump assembly includes a pump with at least one fluid driver comprising a prime mover and a fluid displacement assembly to be driven by the prime mover such that fluid is transferred from a first port of the pump to a second port of the pump. The pump assembly also includes two valve assembles to isolate the pump from the system. The hydrostatic transmission system also includes a controller that establishes at least one of a speed and a torque of the at least one prime mover to exclusively adjust at least one of a flow and a pressure in the hydrostatic transmission system to an operational set point.
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems for providing multiple egress routes from a telecommunications network for a client of the network. In general, the system provides for a client of the network to receive intended packets of information through multiple connections to the network such that load balancing and failover services for traffic to the customer are provided. The process and system allows for telecommunications network to utilize a common next-hop value of announced border gateway protocol (BGP) routes to advertise multiple routes to reach a destination customer network or address. By utilizing a common next-hop value in the announced BGP information, the devices of the network may load balance communication packets to the destination customer or address among the multiple egress locations from the network, as well as providing fast failover to alternate routes when a failure at the network or customer occurs.

Abstract: A spline-based animation process creates an animation sequence. The process receives a plurality of frames that illustrate a figure based on a design template (e.g., which includes a skeleton having segments). The process further identifies a spine segment, generates hip, shoulder, and head segments at respective positions relative to the spine segment, identifies limb and facial feature segments, and converts the segments into respective splines bound between endpoints. The process further determines changes between frames for respective splines and animates movement of the figure over a sequence of frames based on the changes.

A bag accepting device is operable to obtain control of a bag from a person, obtain a digital representation of a biometric from the person, use a biometric identification system to determine an identity for the person using the digital representation of the biometric, verify flight information for the person by communicating with an airline system using the identity, and route the bag upon verification of the flight information. A bag transport device is operable to receive the bag from the bag accepting device and transport the bag. A bag delivery device is operable to receive the bag from the bag transport device and deliver the bag to the person.

Abstract: A method for selecting colors to be projected from a lamp is provided. In one embodiment, the method includes pairing a lamp with a graphic user interface having a diamond shaped perimeter grid of selectable light color settings surrounding a selectable dimming setting. The diamond shaped perimeter grid including four color based segments, wherein each of the four color based segments provides a different family of colors. The user of the graphic user interface selects the selectable light color setting from the graphic user interface, wherein a device including the graphic user interface transmits a signal to the lamp to emit light having a color that is consistent with the selectable light color setting that has been selected by the user.
Abstract: A multi-ply adhesive retraction device is provided which comprises a top layer, a backing layer and a stretchable middle layer between the top and backing layers. A middle-ply adhesive applied to substantially the entirety of the middle layer bottom surface to removably adhere the backing layer to the middle layer bottom surface. The device includes at least one bottom ply tab integral with the device which is operable to remove at least a portion of the backing layer from the middle layer to expose the adhesive of the middle layer. Additionally, the device includes at least one top ply tab which is operable to remove the top layer from the middle layer. The device can be applied pre-operatively, and then the top layer can be removed post-operatively to remain in place during healing of, for example, an incision site.
