Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for optimizing intracardiac filling pressures and cardiac output in patients with heart failure, conduction disease, and atrial fibrillation. The system is able to adjust and optimize intracardiac filling pressures and cardiac output by adjusting heart rate and the effective amount of total body blood volume. The device includes an adjustable member that may create a mean pressure differential in order to manifest an effective “mechanical diuresis” by sequestering extraneous blood volume to the high-capacitance of the venous vasculature. The system is therefore designed to reduce intracardiac filling pressures while maintaining or even increasing cardiac output.

Abstract: A computer device and method are configured to receive a user input across a plurality of points on a display surface of a user interface device. The device and method detect the user input and measure an amount of an input value at each of the plurality of points. Additionally, the device and method generate and display a display output based on a predefined programmable action corresponding to the amount of the input value at at least one of the respective points varying relative to the amount of the input value at one or more of other ones of the respective points.
Abstract: Limiting replay of load-based control independent (CI) instructions in speculative misprediction recovery in a processor. In misprediction recovery, load-based CI instructions are designated as load-based CI, data dependent (CIDD) instructions if a load-based CI instruction consumed forwarded-stored data of a store-based instruction. During the misprediction recovery, replayed load-based CIDD instructions will reevaluate an accurate source of memory load the correct data instead of consuming potentially faulty data that may have been forwarded by a store-based instruction that may have only existed in a mispredicted instruction control flow path. Limiting the replay of load-based CI instructions to only determined CIDD load-based instructions can reduce execution delay and power consumption in an instruction pipeline.

Abstract: A system and method for vending digital video discs is provided. A request is received from a user to complete a rental transaction for a first digital video disc. A database is queried to determine whether a quantity of a set of second digital video discs in a vending inventory exceeds a predetermined threshold. A discount offer notification is presented to the user to rent one of the set of second digital video discs, upon determining that the quantity of the set of second digital video discs exceeds the predetermined threshold. A second request from the user to rent one of the second set of digital video discs is received, and one of the set of second digital video discs is vended to the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein use near field communications to locate a radiating transponder, such as a pill swallowed by a patient. The system can be triggered to turn on and transmit a waveform to a set of antennas attached to, coupled with, or near the patient. The magnetic field emitted by the transponder can be measured by the receiving antennas, for example, using principles of mutual inductance. The differential phase and/or time shifts between the antennas can contain sufficient information to find the location of the transponder and optionally its orientation relative to body coordinates. The system can display the location and/or orientation of the transponder. Further, the pill can include a reservoir to deliver a payload at a particular site of the patient's body based at least in part on the determined location.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, by a processor, bias data categories. A data input from a user for classification in data categories is received. A classification machine learning model is utilized to classify the data input in at least one data category and determine a first confidence probability in a classification outcome. A bias filter machine learning model is utilized to determine a second confidence probability that the classification outcome of classifying the data input into the at least one data category is based on at least one bias characteristic associated with at least one bias data category. A gate machine learning model is utilized to determine when to output the classification outcome of classifying the data input into the at least one data category to a computing device of a user based at least in part on the first confidence probability, the second confidence probability, and a predefined bias threshold.
