Abstract: A system for providing alimentary elements includes a computing device configured to receive a primary input relating to a first user for a compatible alimentary element based on biological extraction, receive secondary input from the second user for an alimentary element not associated with biological extraction, generate an extensible alimentary element display for the second user, wherein generating the extensible alimentary element display includes locating at least an alimentary element originator as a function of the secondary input and the compatible alimentary elements, generating a queue of alimentary elements from the located alimentary element originator, wherein the queue includes alimentary elements for the second user as a function of the secondary input and compatible alimentary elements for the first user, and provide a representation, via a graphical user interface, of a compatible alimentary element for the first user and an alimentary element for the second user.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for streaming media content over a network are provided. One exemplary method of assisted streaming of media content over a network involves detecting, by a media player at a client device coupled to the network, a first condition with respect to streaming the media content, and in response to the first condition, requesting, by the media player, a first portion of the media content from a first content delivery source on the network. After requesting the first portion of the media content, the method further comprises detecting, by the media player, a second condition with respect to streaming the media content, and in response to detecting the second condition, requesting, by the media player, a subsequent portion of the media content from a second content delivery source on the network. The first content delivery source transmits the media content using a modified transport layer protocol.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for enhanced wireless determination of a position and direction of a smart device are describe which support the display of a virtual tag upon a user interface of the smart device. Wireless transceivers controlled by the smart device communicate with reference point transceivers to generate data sufficient to determine relative positions of the wireless transceivers and a direction of interest. Operation of LIDAR may be operative to verify the position and direction of the Smart Device as well as a topography of the environment.

Abstract: A technique performed by a client on a device includes detecting one or more wireless networks in range of the device, where the one or more wireless networks support connection over at least two frequency bands; controlling the device to connect to the one or more wireless networks over at least one of the two frequency bands; and controlling the device to switch connections among different ones of the at least two frequency bands based on levels of service provided by the different ones of the at least two frequency bands.

Abstract: A water drain management apparatus used in clinical facility (43) or other facility includes a manifold plumbing fitting (32, 272, 384). The fitting includes a plurality of drain outlet connections for water discharge devices (40, 42, 222, 226, 230, 234). Such water discharge devices may include devices such as autoclaves, sterilizers, cleaners, washers, filters, humidifiers, condensing devices and other devices used in the facility. A plurality of drain fitting openings in the body of the fitting are connectable to respective water discharge devices, and openings that are not utilized are closable with plugs. Some manifold fittings (272, 344, 384, 482) include an air gap opening (288, 360, 392, 530). These configurations provide an air gap that prevents contamination due to back flow of water within the fitting reaching water discharge devices or the body inlet of the manifold fitting.

Abstract: A unique process and catalyst is described that operates efficiently for the direct production of a high cetane diesel type fuel or diesel type blending stock from stochiometric mixtures of hydrogen and carbon monoxide. This invention allows for, but is not limited to, the economical and efficient production high quality diesel type fuels from small or distributed fuel production plants that have an annual production capacity of less than 10,000 barrels of product per day, by eliminating traditional wax upgrading processes. This catalytic process is ideal for distributed diesel fuel production plants such as gas to liquids production and other applications that require optimized economics based on supporting distributed feedstock resources.

Abstract: High shine single phase color cosmetic compositions that are flexible and resistant to water below a selected temperature, 43° C. for example. The compositions wear well, are smudge and flake resistant, as well as oil resistant, making them very suitable as high shine, long wear cosmetics. Compositions according to the invention comprise specific combinations of acrylates/VA copolymer and acrylates copolymer in a cosmetically acceptable base or delivery vehicle. Compositions according to the invention are hydrophilic and easily removed when scrubbed with water above a certain temperature, but not as easily removed with water below that temperature. The compositions are easy to manufacture, flexible and comfortable, and suitable for use on skin, hair and nails, particularly as eye shadow, eyeliner, lip products, tattoo products and mascara. Compositions may be formulated as liquid eyeliner, liquid eye shadow, mascara, liquid lip products and tattoo products.

Abstract: Generating panoramic video viewable at a third-party video management system includes receiving image data captured by at least one camera. The received image data may be captured at a plurality of angles (e.g., stop positions) arranged about a single axis (e.g., about which the camera rotates). The received image data may optionally be analyzed. Based on the received image data (and any optional analysis thereof), panoramic video derived from the captured image data (e.g., still images) may then be generated. A single video stream including the generated panoramic video may then be generated. The single generated video stream may then be sent to a third-party video management system (VMS). The video stream may be usable by the video management system for displaying the generated panoramic video. Various other views or other information may also be included in the single video stream sent to the VMS.

Abstract: The technology provides for a pair of earbuds. For instance, a first earbud may include a first antenna, and a second earbud may include a second antenna. The pair of earbuds may further include one or more processors configured to receive, from the first antenna, a first signal from a beacon, and receive, from the second antenna, a second signal from the beacon. Based on the first signal and the second signal, the one or more processors may determine at least one signal strength. The one or more processors may determine a position of the user relative to the beacon based on the at least one signal strength.

Abstract: Provided herein is a storage stable non-fluoride toothpaste composition enriched with a dietary supplement containing both oil soluble and water soluble vitamins. The dietary supplement is incorporated into the toothpaste, the dietary supplement containing a water soluble vitamin portion including at least one water soluble vitamin and an oil soluble vitamin portion. The oil soluble vitamin portion includes at least one oil soluble vitamin, a carrier oil and an emulsifier. The toothpaste is thereby formulated in a manner such that oral application will result in systemic delivery of at least a portion of the dietary supplement to meet a 2% RDI threshold even when 3 or less serving sizes are orally applied.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing playlist analytics. A method includes logging first user interactions associated with a playlist of content items and generating metrics based on the logged first user interactions with the playlist. The playlist is associated with a default playback sequence of the content items. A first metric indicates a last content item played by a user from the playlist is different from a last content item in the default playback sequence associated with of the playlist. The method further includes reporting at least the first metric. The playlist is to be modified based on one or more of the plurality of metrics.
