  • Patent number: 11039324
Abstract: Communication systems are described that use signal constellations, which have unequally spaced (i.e. ‘geometrically’ shaped) points. In many embodiments, the communication systems use specific geometric constellations that are capacity optimized at a specific SNR, over the Rayleigh fading channel. In addition, ranges within which the constellation points of a capacity optimized constellation can be perturbed and are still likely to achieve a given percentage of the optimal capacity increase compared to a constellation that maximizes dmin, are also described. Capacity measures that are used in the selection of the location of constellation points include, but are not limited to, parallel decode (PD) capacity and joint capacity.

  • Patent number: 11037115
Abstract: A system and method for routing customers to an automated teller machine (ATM) is disclosed herein. A computing system receives, from a client device, a request to locate an ATM. The request includes a constraint of a desired ATM. The computing system identifies a plurality of ATMs proximate a location of the client device. The computing system pings the plurality of ATMs proximate the location of the client device to identify attributes associated with each respective ATM. The computing system receives the attributes from the plurality of ATMs proximate the location of the client device. The computing system compares the attributes from each respective ATM to historical ATM usage statistics associated with the client device. The computing system routes a user of the client device to a target ATM from the plurality of ATMs based at least partially on the historical ATM usage statistics.

  • Patent number: 11039061
Abstract: Systems and methods of maintaining a focal point of a camera in a 3D environment of a 2D graphical user interface of an authoring application includes displaying a surface upon which one or more content items can be placed and a camera centrally positioned relative to the surface. Further, responsive to an indication to add a content, determining a first elevation of the camera, determining an angle of view of the camera at the first elevation and elevating the camera to a second elevation that is greater than the first elevation of the camera while maintaining a perceived angle of view of the camera. Systems and methods for translating a 3D object include preventing translation of the 3D object in one of three dimensions of the three-dimensional environment while enabling simultaneous translation of the 3D object in the two remaining dimensions of the three dimensions of the 3D environment.

  • Patent number: 11036356
Abstract: Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure relate to service-backed generation and management of digital ruled paper templates in an exemplary application/service such as a notetaking service. As an example, access to a user account of a notetaking service is detected. A digital context associated with the user account is evaluated. An evaluation of the digital context comprises identifying user identity data associated with the user account and analyzing domain specific data of the notetaking service that corresponds with the identified user identity data. The domain specific data may comprise data identifying a specific electronic notebook of the notetaking service. A customized listing of digital ruled paper templates is populated based on an evaluation of the digital context. The customized listing of digital ruled paper templates is transmitted to the client computing device, which surfaces the customized listing of digital ruled paper templates in a user interface of the notetaking service.

  • Patent number: 11036707
Abstract: According to some embodiments, so-called “NS-Tree” indexes may be used to calculate whether all (or a portion) of two independent tables are consistent. The NS-Tree indexes may be comprised of various elements, e.g., a synchronization time, a primary key, a hash of the complete record itself, and an aggregate value associated with each index entry (e.g., an accumulated XOR value). At any point in the index, an entry may possess the accumulated aggregate value of all key entries in the table up to that point. That aggregate value may be used to validate data consistency with another table(s) maintaining the same index. Due to the unique composition of the NS-Tree index, users can also validate two data sets within a ‘sub-range’ of the entire data set. According to other embodiments, NS-Tree indexes may also be applied to two different clusters of nodes by applying the NS-Trees at a ‘federated’ level.
