  • Patent number: 11035580
Abstract: A method for controlling a fan of a dehumidifier includes performing a first step of obtaining an ambient temperature, an exhaust temperature, and a delta temperature that is a difference between the ambient temperature and the exhaust temperature. The method further include determining, after performing the first step, whether the delta temperature is within a delta temperature range. If the delta temperature is within the delta temperature range, the method proceeds back to the first step. If the delta temperature is not within the delta temperature range, the method performs a second step of determining an adjusted fan speed using the delta temperature. The method further includes performing, after performing the second step, a third step of setting the fan speed to the determined adjusted fan speed.

  • Patent number: 11037046
Abstract: A transaction card construction and computer-implemented methods for a transaction card are described. The transaction card has vector-formatted visible information applied by a laser machining system. In some embodiments, systems and methods are disclosed for enabling the sourcing of visible information using a scalable vector format. The systems and methods may receive a request to add visible information to a transaction card and capture an image of the visible information. The systems and methods may capture data representing the image. The systems and methods may also determine an ambient color saturation of the image. Further, systems and methods may translate the image based on the ambient color saturation of the image. The systems and methods may also map the translated image to a bounding box and convert the mapped image into vector format. In addition, the systems and methods may provide the converted image to a laser machining system.

  • Patent number: 11036267
Abstract: In the event of a TDM failure, the associated computing device is either discarded or sent back to an original equipment manufacturer's facility for refurbishment. Field replacement of TDMs is typically not possible due to the lack of a secure process to recalibrate the touch controller to function properly with a replacement TDM. The presently disclosed systems and methods enable secure recalibration of a touch controller within a computing device to operate correctly with a new TDM field installed in the computing device. More specifically, the presently disclosed systems and methods provide a mechanism for detecting that a TDM has been field replaced, unlocking calibration data, performing a calibration process, and locking the new calibration data.

  • Patent number: 11038094
Abstract: Error correction can only work with superconducting qubits if qubit errors are lowered. Surface loss from thin oxides is currently a dominant error mechanism. Formulas for useful qubit geometries are presented to predict surface loss, which can be used to optimize the qubit layout. A significant fraction of surface loss comes from the small wire that connects the Josephson junction to the qubit capacitor. Tapering this wire is shown to significantly lower its loss, as well as etching the underlying silicon to create free-standing wires.

  • Patent number: 11033051
Abstract: A tip device for an electronic vaping device may include a first conduit structure and a second conduit structure. The first conduit structure may be configured to direct a generated vapor through a first conduit. The second conduit structure may be configured to direct an air flow from an ambient environment through a second conduit. The second conduit structure may include an additive material on a surface of the second conduit structure, the additive material including an additive, the additive material configured to release the additive into the air flow directed through the second conduit. An interposing structure of the first conduit structure and the second conduit structure may physically isolate the additive material from the first conduit, such that the additive material is configured to release the additive into the air flow directed through the second conduit independently of the generated vapor directed through the first conduit.
