Abstract: A contextual SS7 firewall filter is inserted between a network operator and its roaming partners intra network and inter network SS7 traffic. SS7 firewall filter validates GSM MAP and GSM CAP messages based on specific criteria as provisioned for those message types and either allows them or blocks them from reaching their intended destination based on the validation results. The validation step involves verification of MSU correctness, verification of correctness of SS7 MTP fields for each MSU, and verification of correctness of SS7 SCCP fields for each MSU. SS7 firewall filter blocks GSM messages that fail at least one of the verification steps.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, so-called “NS-Tree” indexes may be used to calculate whether all (or a portion) of two independent tables are consistent. The NS-Tree indexes may be comprised of various elements, e.g., a synchronization time, a primary key, a hash of the complete record itself, and an aggregate value associated with each index entry (e.g., an accumulated XOR value). At any point in the index, an entry may possess the accumulated aggregate value of all key entries in the table up to that point. That aggregate value may be used to validate data consistency with another table(s) maintaining the same index. Due to the unique composition of the NS-Tree index, users can also validate two data sets within a ‘sub-range’ of the entire data set. According to other embodiments, NS-Tree indexes may also be applied to two different clusters of nodes by applying the NS-Trees at a ‘federated’ level.

Abstract: A pop-up power system with a hollow tower to support an electrical receptacle. The lid includes a lid locking mechanism, and the tower being rotatable between a locked position and an unlocked position. A mounting sleeve receives the tower body through it and includes a locking mechanism alignable with the lid locking mechanism. A liner is positioned between the tower body and the mounting sleeve, the liner comprising a groove for the guide pin in an interior surface of the liner which surrounds and slideably engages the body and is rotatably connected to the mounting sleeve. Abstract: An apparatus for coding a block of a frame using intra-prediction includes a memory and a processor. The processor is configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to obtain an intra-prediction mode for coding the block of the frame; select a transform type for coding a transform block of a residual block, which results from predicting the block using the intra-prediction mode; and code the transform block using the transform type. To select the transform type includes to, in a case where the intra-prediction mode is a SMOOTH_PRED, select a ADST_ADST transform type; in a case where the intra-prediction mode is a SMOOTH_H_PRED, select a DCT_ADST transform type; and in a case where the intra-prediction mode is a SMOOTH_V_PRED, select a ADST_DCT transform type.
Abstract: Improved techniques for providing passthrough images in the form of a stylized image embodying a novel perspective. A raw texture image of an environment is generated. A depth map is acquired for the environment. A stylized image is generated by applying a stylization filter to the raw texture image. Subsequent to acquiring the depth map and subsequent to generating the stylized image, a stylized parallax-corrected image is generated by reprojecting the stylized image to a new perspective using depth data.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to enhanced time of flight (ToF) calculation using phase measurements. A device may identify a radiofrequency (RF) signal received from a vehicle key, wherein the RF signal comprises a command associated with a vehicle. The device may select a first subset of a frequency bandwidth. The device may perform a first time-of-flight calculation associated with the RF signal using a phase shift measurement on a first subset of frequency bandwidth. The device may determine a distance between the vehicle key and the vehicle based on the first time-of-flight calculation. The device may compare the distance to a predetermined threshold. The device may determine a status of the RF signal based on the comparison.

Abstract: A disposable, sterile guide constructed of medically-acceptable plastic used for compartmentalizing and therefore protecting the ligament or fascia during three different orthopedic surgical procedures: ECTR, ECuTR, and EPFR. This device reduces the risk of damage to any other part of the surrounding anatomy. The device is disposable and packaged so as to be sterile and therefore readily usable by the surgeon means that it can reduce the risk of infection and is a less expensive alternative to traditional non-disposable, metal instruments that must be sterilized prior to each procedure.

Abstract: A method of configuring a client device at a customer premises is provided. An electronic message is received from a vendor of a client device with customer premise equipment (CPE) at the customer premises or a portable communication device. The electronic message provides configuration information for the client device. The configuration information includes a password and an access name of a service for use in configuring the client device via communications with a remote configuration server. The service is made available at the customer premises via the CPE or the communication device so that the client device automatically pairs to the service and is authenticated with the password to the configuration server via Internet connectivity capability of the CPE or portable communication device so that the client device may be configured. The client device has firmware preprogramed to automatically and securely access the service, when detected, at the customer premises.
