Abstract: A wireless device receives uplink grants indicating resources of cells. First uplink grants of the uplink grants are processed as a group according to an order. The group is based on the first uplink grants being received during one or more coinciding time durations that the wireless device is configured to monitor at least one control channel for the cells. The processing comprises multiplexing data of one or more logical channels into transport blocks based on the first uplink grants. The transport blocks are transmitted based on the first uplink grants.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a prosthetic capsular bag and method for inserting the same. The prosthetic capsular bag helps to maintain the volume of the natural capsular bag, thereby stabilizing the effective lens position of an IOL so that refractive outcomes may be improved with cataract surgery. The prosthetic capsular bag further provides an integrated refractive surface, providing a means for experimentally determining an effective lens position prior to inserting an IOL.
Abstract: A head mounted display (HMD) includes a set of one or more lenses defining an optical axis, a display configured to project light through the set of the one or more lenses, a voice coil actuator coupled with the display and configured to move the display along the optical axis, and a first guide that is slidingly coupled with the first voice coil actuator to guide the movement of the first display. The HMD additionally includes a set of one or more position sensors configured to determine a position of the display long the optical axis and an electronic controller configured to receive information identifying a reference position of the display along the optical axis and generate one or more electrical signals for initiating a movement of the first display toward the first reference point along the optical axis.

Abstract: A transceiver is designed to share memory and processing power amongst a plurality of transmitter and/or receiver latency paths, in a communications transceiver that carries or supports multiple applications. For example, the transmitter and/or receiver latency paths of the transceiver can share an interleaver/deinterleaver memory. This allocation can be done based on the data rate, latency, BER, impulse noise protection requirements of the application, data or information being transported over each latency path, or in general any parameter associated with the communications system.
Abstract: Innovations in signaling of reference picture list (“RPL”) modification information. For example, a video encoder evaluates a condition that depends at least in part on a variable indicating a number of total reference pictures. Depending on the results of the evaluation, the encoder signals in a bitstream a flag that indicates whether an RPL is modified according to syntax elements explicitly signaled in the bitstream. A video decoder evaluates the condition and, depending on results of the evaluation, parses from a bitstream a flag that indicates whether an RPL is modified according to syntax elements explicitly signaled in the bitstream. The condition can be evaluated as part of processing for an RPL modification structure that includes the flag, or as part of processing for a slice header. The encoder and decoder can also evaluate other conditions that affect syntax elements for list entries of the RPL modification information.
Abstract: A consolidated default security policy for a storage node is created by combining a system-wide default security policy with default security policies for multiple protocols and default security policies for multiple applications. The default security policies for protocols and applications include IKE parameters and parameter values. In response to receipt of an IKE request from a peer, the storage node obtains dynamically-assigned source and destination information and finds matching parameters and parameter values in the consolidated default security policy. The matching parameters and parameter values are used with the dynamically-assigned source and destination information to auto-generate a secure channel with the peer.
Abstract: A seat adjustment device for a vehicle comprising a base member, a pair of lower rails, a pair of upper rails, a pair of latch assemblies, a handle, and a top member, wherein the adjustment device is adjustable within a range toward the front of the vehicle or the rear of the vehicle.

Abstract: Augmented reality-based user authentication for automatic teller machines is disclosed. Embodiments include a system with one or more memory devices storing instructions. The system may further include one or more processors configured to execute the instructions and to receive an authentication request from a user of an ATM. In some embodiments, the processor may retrieve, from the one or more memory devices, an augmented reality password specific to a user, the password comprising an augmented reality object. In other embodiments, the processor may identify a personal user device configured to receive the password, and personalize the password, based on information previously configured by the user. In yet other embodiments, the processor may be configured to present the augmented reality object via a display on the personal user device, and to determine, based on input provided by a user to the augmented reality object, whether to approve the authentication request.

Abstract: A device may detect a first entry of a first user device of a first user into a merchant area. The device may monitor a movement of the first user device within the merchant area. The movement may include a transition from a shopping area of the merchant area to a checkout area of the merchant area. The device may detect a transaction between the first user and the merchant. The device may determine a shopping duration for the first user and a checkout duration for the first user. The device may detect a second entry of a second user device of a second user into the merchant area. The device may perform one or more actions based on detecting the second entry. The one or more actions may be performed selectively based on the shopping duration or the checkout duration of the first user.
Abstract: Processes for producing 2,5-dichlorophenol and 3,6-dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid are described. Various processes for isomerizing 2,4-dichlorophenol over a zeolite catalyst to form 2,5-dichlorophenol are provided. Processes for preparing 2,5-dichlorophenol including hydroxylating 1,4-dichlorobenzene are also described. The present invention also relates to processes for producing 3,6-dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid.

Abstract: A method comprises forming a first structured pattern having a first line width on a substrate. A polymer brush is deposited on the structured pattern, which is annealed a first time at a first temperature and then annealed a second time at a second temperature higher than the first temperature. A block copolymer is deposited on the structured pattern and polymer brush, and aligned first block and second block structures are formed on the structured pattern and polymer brush. The first block structures and portions of the polymer brush and the structured pattern positioned beneath the first block structures are removed, and the substrate between the second block structures is exposed. The second block structures are then removed to form a second structured pattern in the substrate having a second line width, the second line width being smaller than the first line width.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of improving data access in an organization by a computer. The computer receives a command from an individual to perform an action on a data element to the organization. Responsive to receiving the command, the computer reads an authorization object assigned to the data element. Responsive to reading the authorization object, the computer creates list of individuals authorized to perform the action on the data element in accordance with the authorization object. Responsive to creating the list, the computer permits the action on the data element only if the individual is on the list.
