Abstract: A method for configuring and deploying execution environments for software applications includes receiving a bootstrap execution environment from a data store, the bootstrap execution environment including a software application, the software application including a manifest of dependencies. The method includes executing the bootstrap execution environment and determining whether an enhanced execution environment is available from the data store. When the enhanced execution environment is available from the data store, the method includes receiving the enhanced execution environment from the data store and enhancing the bootstrap execution environment based on the received enhanced execution environment. When the enhanced execution environment is not available from the data, the method includes enhancing the bootstrap execution environment based on the manifest of dependencies to create the enhanced execution environment and storing the enhanced execution environment in the data store.

Abstract: An electrical submersible pump has a stack of diffusers within the housing, each of the diffusers having a conical upper shoulder and a conical lower shoulder. Abstract: Proppant embedment can sometimes be problematic during fracturing operations. A partially oxidized, amine-functionalized polysaccharide comprising a plurality of oxidatively opened monosaccharide units and bearing an amine moiety at one or more sites of oxidative opening may lessen the amount of proppant embedment that occurs. Fracturing methods may comprise providing a fracturing fluid comprising such a partially oxidized, amine-functionalized polysaccharide and a plurality of proppant particulates, introducing the fracturing fluid into a subterranean formation at a hydraulic pressure sufficient to create or extend one or more fractures therein, such that at least a portion of the plurality of proppant particulates become localized in the one or more fractures, and releasing the hydraulic pressure. Upon releasing the hydraulic pressure, embedment of the proppant particulates in a face of the one or more fractures is about 10% to about 40% of a grain size of the proppant particulates.

Abstract: This document relates to training of machine learning models such as neural networks. One example method involves providing a machine learning model having one or more layers and associated parameters and performing a pretraining stage on the parameters of the machine learning model to obtain pretrained parameters. The example method also involves performing a tuning stage on the machine learning model by using labeled training samples to tune the pretrained parameters. The tuning stage can include performing noise adjustment of the labeled training examples to obtain noise-adjusted training samples. The tuning stage can also include adjusting the pretrained parameters based at least on the labeled training examples and the noise-adjusted training examples to obtain adapted parameters. The example method can also include outputting a tuned machine learning model having the adapted parameters.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for disrupting the outer membrane of an oocyst in solution and delivering the solution to an animal. The system includes a vessel containing unbroken oocysts in solution, an oocyst processing chamber, and a delivery outlet. The unbroken oocysts are moved from the vessel through the processing chamber and a portion of the oocyst membranes are disrupted releasing sporocysts, the resulting solution is moved from the processing chamber into the delivery outlet where the solution is delivered to an animal. Methods of vaccination, including vaccination against an Eimeria infection, are also provided.

Abstract: The turning radius of a differentially steered vehicle towing a trailer is controlled when turning so that its turning radius is greater than a minimum allowable turning radius. The turning radius may be autonomously adjusted using a controller to monitor the instantaneous rotational speed differential between the driven wheels and increase or decrease the relative speed between the wheels when the instantaneous rotational speed differential exceeds a threshold rotational speed differential, indicating a turn which is too tight. Alternately, the turning radius may be controlled by the vehicle's operator, who receives a signal from the controller indicating that the vehicle's turning radius is less than the minimum allowable. The operator may then take action to enlarge the turning radius using manual controls.

In some implementations, a method may include obtaining notification of one or more ranges of frequencies corresponding to a set of resource units to be avoided in a spectrum of available frequencies, and allocating resource units to a set of client devices that covers the available frequencies while excluding the set of resource units to be avoided.
