Abstract: A door sill including: a sill base including a bottom member and a top member defining a cavity therebetween; and a tower extending from the sill base in a vertical direction and defining a bottom end proximate to the bottom member of the sill base and a top end distal from the bottom member of the sill base and offset from the top member of the sill base, the tower including a first leg and a second leg, a width of the tower where it intersects with the bottom member of the sill base greater than a width of the tower at the top end.
Abstract: In various embodiments, a reverse-order crossed pancake lens block having an index gradient structure may include an optical element configured to transmit at least a portion of radiation from a radiation source. Moreover, the pancake lens block may include an index-gradient structure that is spaced at a distance from the optical element, the distance configured to provide an optical path length in the pancake lens block. The index-gradient structure may be configured to provide an anti-reflective property to at least one surface of the optical element.
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for providing fraudulent transaction processes. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed for performing fraudulent transaction processes that may include receiving an indication that a payment transaction has been identified as potentially fraudulent, the payment transaction involving a payment account associated with a user. The method may also include receiving a candidate voice print and comparing the candidate voice print to a user voice print that is associated with the payment account. The method may further include determining, based on the comparison, whether the candidate voice print matches the user voice print, and providing an indication whether the candidate voice print matches the user voice print, the indication configured for use to determine whether to approve or deny the payment transaction.
Abstract: Verifying caller identification information is described. A query to verify a first communications connection associated with an observed caller ID is received. Using a second communications channel, a message to a device associated with the observed caller ID is transmitted. A response to the message is received. The message is evaluated to perform a security determination. The security determination is provided as output.
Abstract: A communications system includes content distribution hardware operable to detect presence of a window in a video stream in which to insert an advertisement. Multiple viewers receive and view the video stream. Advertisement management hardware in the communications system receives notification of the window as well as attributes of the viewers receiving the video stream. Based on the attributes associated with viewers, the advertisement manager hardware selects a particular advertisement suitable for the viewers amongst multiple advertisements to insert in the window. The content distribution hardware inserts the selected advertisement in the window for distribution to the multiple viewers. During distribution of the advertisement in the window, if desired, the content distribution hardware monitors further use of the multiple communication devices to detect if any of the communication devices discontinue receiving the video stream during the window of time.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically generating a boot sequence. A multiple virtual machine computing environment is analyzed to generate a boot sequence that is used during a recovery operation. The boot sequence may be based on applications and application types running on the virtual machines, a network configuration and network traffic, and on manual boots of virtual machines. The boot sequence prioritizes the order in which the virtual machines are booted in the recovery site.

Abstract: A system and method for creation, distribution and tracking of advertising via electronic networks, enabling creation of advertisements using licensed third party content and placement of said ads at desired network locations, utilizing an auction of ad spaces based on bids placed by advertisers to have their ads displayed at such locations. When a network user/ad viewer requests an ad by clicking or other action, an auction algorithm executes to select the ad to be displayed from those that bid for display at such ad space location and then the ad is composed and delivered to the ad space location by accessing a relational database storing commands that retrieve, assemble and dispatch the licensed ad content. Usage and display of licensed content on designated ad space is tracked to enable cost-per-use charging for both use of licensed content and ad display at the designated ad space.
