Abstract: A system and method for creation, distribution and tracking of advertising via electronic networks, enabling creation of advertisements using licensed third party content and placement of said ads at desired network locations, utilizing an auction of ad spaces based on bids placed by advertisers to have their ads displayed at such locations. When a network user/ad viewer requests an ad by clicking or other action, an auction algorithm executes to select the ad to be displayed from those that bid for display at such ad space location and then the ad is composed and delivered to the ad space location by accessing a relational database storing commands that retrieve, assemble and dispatch the licensed ad content. Usage and display of licensed content on designated ad space is tracked to enable cost-per-use charging for both use of licensed content and ad display at the designated ad space.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides programmable osmotic-controlled oral compositions providing delayed release of a therapeutically acceptable amount of a drug. In certain embodiments, the programmable osmotic-controlled compositions of the disclosure provide a lag time that is independent of the presence or absence of food, type of food, pH, gastric emptying, and volume of gastric fluid. The programmable osmotic-controlled oral compositions of the disclosure comprise a multilayer core comprising a drug for controlled release, wherein the core is coated with a semipermeable membrane comprising an orifice and, optionally, an immediate release coating, comprising a drug for immediate release, over the semipermeable membrane. The multilayered core comprises a pull layer containing the drug and a push layer.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method comprising providing services over a network to a device, and constructing device capability and usage profiles. A level of service quality for the device is adjusted by adjusting a latency criterion regarding connection of the device to the network; adjusting a speed of transmissions to or from the device; and altering a routing of transmissions to or from the device. The network can be partitioned so that the adjusted service quality level is provided by a network portion having a predetermined level of resources. The adjusted service quality level can comprise a first level while the device is active and a second level while the device is inactive; the first level is higher than the second level. The first and second levels are lower than a service quality level provided by another network portion. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: A first transceiver communicates with a first station in a first network according to a first symbol alignment and includes a detection circuit and a precoding determination circuit. The detection circuit detects a signal in a second network from a second transceiver to a second station in the second network via receive chains, coverage areas of the first and second networks overlapping, and determines a second symbol alignment of the signal based on a preamble of the signal in the second network. The precoding determination circuit is coupled to transmit chains, determines a precoding matrix that creates a null in a location of the second station, and determines the first symbol alignment, which is synchronized with the second symbol alignment. The transmit chains pre-code a signal in the first network using the precoding matrix and align symbols of the signal in the first network according to the first symbol alignment.

The method for controlling the vehicle includes: receiving, by a planning controller, a trip plan based on an input from a vehicle-operator, wherein the trip plan is indicative of a planned trip; determining, by the planning controller, a current location of the vehicle using a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) of the vehicle; determining, by the planning controller, a geography of the planned trip using map data from a map database; determining, by the planning controller, a target speed profile for the vehicle as a function of the trip plan, the geography of the planned trip, and a predetermined, optimal acceleration range; determining, by an adaptive cruise controller, a torque request as a function of the target speed profile, a predetermined-optimal torque range, and a current speed of the vehicle.

Abstract: Methods and systems for preparing acetone from cumene hydroperoxide (CHP) are disclosed. The methods and systems involve an acetone purification column configured to separate acetone from other components of the product/reactant stream. The acetone purification column is equipped with a side draw configured to route a portion of the column contents to a caustic treating vessel where the contents are reacted with a dilute aqueous alkaline solution to remove aldehydes from the acetone product. The contents of the caustic treating vessel are then routed back to the acetone purification column. Using a separate caustic treating vessel for the aldehydes removal provides increased contact time between the acetone product and the alkaline solution, thereby affording greater aldehydes removal.
Abstract: An apparatus for disease prevention includes a face covering shaped to fit under a facemask of a user. The facemask fits over the nose and the mouth of the user. An ultraviolet (“UV”) emitter is coupled to the face covering and the UV emitter is positioned to expose particles between the face covering and the facemask to UV light. The face covering is positioned between the UV emitter and the face of the user.
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing image data representing a document to remove deformations contained in the document are disclosed. A system may include one or more memory devices storing instructions and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions. The instructions may instruct the system to provide, to a machine learning system, a training dataset representing a plurality of documents containing a plurality of training deformations. The instructions may also instruct the system to use the machine learning system to process image data representing a target document containing a target document deformation. The machine learning system may generate restored image data representing the target document with the target document deformation removed. The instructions may further instruct the system to provide the restored image data to at least one of a graphical user interface, an image storage device, or a computer vision system.
