Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide methods for producing vitamin D that gives improved yields and reduced side product contamination. In various aspects, these methods provide for production of vitamin-D2 using ergosterol as provitamin D2 or a dihydroxy derivative thereof as a starting material, or production of vitamin-D3 using 7-dehydrocholesterol as provitamin D3 or a dihydroxy derivative thereof as the starting material. The methods described herein comprise irradiating the starting material in a solution including an organic or inorganic base with light in the wavelength range 245-360 nanometers (nm) to obtain a product containing pre-vitamin-D2 or pre-vitamin-D3, and heating the product to convert the resulting pre-vitamin-D2 or pre-vitamin-D3 to vitamin D2 or vitamin D3. In various embodiments, these methods further comprise recovering vitamin D2 or vitamin D3 from this reaction as a purified product.

The air conduit is configured for providing an airstream directed to the at least one exterior side member such that the airstream forces a material other than grain out through the at least one outlet.
Abstract: This disclosure relates to creating memory snapshots that reduce processing for thread-focused analysis. A plurality of trace fragments is identified, each representing an uninterrupted consecutive execution of executable instructions on a corresponding thread of a plurality of threads. The trace fragments include a first and a second fragment corresponding to a first thread, and a third fragment corresponding to a second thread. An ordering among the fragments is determined. In the ordering, the first fragment is orderable prior to the second fragment on the first thread, and the third fragment is orderable between the first and second fragments. Based on the third fragment being orderable between the first and second fragments, a memory cell is identified that is interacted with by executable instructions whose execution is represented by the third trace fragment. Memory snapshot data identifying the memory cell is inserted into trace data corresponding to the first thread.
Abstract: An apparatus includes a waveguide of an antenna block configured to propagate electromagnetic energy along a propagation direction. The antenna block includes a port located on a bottom surface of the antenna block and an antenna array located on a top surface of the antenna block. The antenna block further includes a set of waveguides in the antenna block configured to couple the antenna array to the port. Additionally, the antenna block includes at least one surface wave radiator, where the surface wave radiator is located on the top surface of the antenna block.
Abstract: One embodiment is directed to a tool to cut and strip a radiating coaxial cable. The tool comprises first and second jaws, a linkage that couples the first jaw to the second jaw, a cutting blade, and a stripping blade. The tool is configured to position at least a portion of the cutting blade to cut and sever the cable at a first point along the cable when the tool is rotated around the cable while the first jaw and the second jaw are closed around the cable. The tool is configured to position at least a portion of the stripping blade to cut the jacket of the cable, without severing the cable, at a second point along the cable when the tool is rotated around the cable while the first jaw and the second jaw are closed around the cable. Abstract: A Control Valve Compensation System for producing both a pre-compensated and a post-compensated load sensing hydraulic directional control valve module, wherein both configurations use the same components except for a sliding compensating component. The Control Valve Compensation System generally includes a hydraulic directional control valve housing which is adapted to be easily-interchangeable between a load sensing pre-compensated pressure configuration and a load sensing post-compensated pressure configuration by simply removing and replacing a different compensator assembly within the housing. The compensator assembly is adapted to direct oil flow through the housing while simultaneously providing compensation for the valve function. Directional valve assemblies may be provided, with the valve assemblies functioning to provide post-compensated functions, pre-compensated functions, and mixed pre- and post-compensated functions.
Abstract: An assistance service through its local client application or agent at a user's device (or devices) may collect diagnostic related information associated with the user's operating environment (physical and software operation parameters and configurations) and monitor a health of one or more applications. Upon detecting an issue or being activated by the user, the local client application or agent may perform diagnostic and/or recovery actions. In some cases, the diagnostic related signals may be sent directly by the application being monitored or diagnosed to its hosting service or the assistance service. Upon detecting a disconnect of the application being monitored or diagnosed, the local client application or agent may determine an alternative server and transmit the diagnostic related signals to the alternative server. An alert indicating the disconnect of the application may also be sent.
Abstract: A method and apparatus provide synchronization signals and random access for flexible radio communication. Information can be received from a base station. The information can include a plurality of subcarrier spacings and at least one random access configuration for a cell. Each of the at least one random access configuration can be associated with at least one subcarrier spacing of the plurality of subcarrier spacings. The at least one subcarrier spacing can be used for communication. A random access configuration can be selected from the at least one random access configuration. A random access preamble can be transmitted according to the selected random access configuration.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for constructing an airship quickly and cost-effectively are described. In one embodiments, an airship structure may have a plurality of mainframes, each comprising interconnected pyramid structures. One of the pyramid structures may include an apex joint, four base joints, first connectors, and second connectors. The apex joint and base joints may each have slots configured for receiving connectors. The apex joint may have four apex-to-base slots and each base joint may have a base-to-apex slot and two base-to-base slots. Each of the first connectors may connect the apex joint to one of the four base joints using one of the apex-to-base slots of the apex joint and the base-to-apex slot of that base joint. Each of the second connectors may connect two of the four base joints using one of the base-to-base slots of each of the two base joints connected by that second connector.
