Abstract: A method includes receiving sensor data from one or more sensors that corresponds to a location of a stylus device and determining that a tip of the stylus device is in contact with a physical surface based on the sensor data. While in contact, the method includes determining a new location of the tip of the stylus device based on the location data, mitigating a tracking error of the determined new location of the tip of the stylus device by translating the new location from a 3D space domain to a 2D space domain that corresponds to the physical surface and adjusting the new location based on a comparison of the new location and historical locations.

Abstract: A driver circuit is provided to connect a charged capacitor through a switch to the inductive windings of an electromagnet for a haptic feedback application. A feedback circuit provides an indication of the current supplied. When the current reaches a desired level, the current is cut off, rather than being controlled. The cutoff level can be slightly below the desired level to allow the desired level to be reached with overshoot. A diode is provided in parallel with the electromagnet winding when the current is shut off, providing a recirculation path that prevents the current from being discharged, thereby dissipating less energy than classical solutions.
Abstract: In some embodiments, a system comprising one or more processors configured to track a location of an input device within a physical environment via a three-dimensional (3D) tracking system, and modify a tracking parameter of the 3D tracking system while tracking the location of the input device based on the determined location of the input device within the physical environment. The input device may be coupled to a virtual reality display system and tracking the location of the location of the input device can be used for interacting with the virtual reality display system.

Abstract: Embodiments describe a wireless charging system including an accessory device and a host device. The host device can include a housing having a charging surface and power transmitting circuitry coupled to a power source. The power transmitting circuitry can include an inductive transmitter coil configured to receive a first power and generate magnetic field, an amplifier coupled to the inductive transmitter coil and configured to output the first power to the inductive transmitter coil, an output sensor coupled to the inductive transmitter coil and configured to measure the first power to the inductive transmitter coil, and a power tracking controller coupled to the sensor probe. Abstract: A method and system configured to receive a first report from a computer peripheral device, determine a trajectory of the computer peripheral device based on the first report, and determine a predicted activity level of the computer peripheral device based on the first report. The method and system can be further configured to compare the predicted activity level of the computer peripheral device with a baseline activity level and in response to determining that the predicted activity level of the computer peripheral device exceeds the baseline activity level, generate and send a first command to the computer peripheral device configured to cause the computer peripheral device to send a subsequent report of aggregated movement data at a first report rate.

Abstract: Embodiments herein generally relate to video conferencing systems and, more particularly, to multi-camera systems used to detect participants in a conference environment and auto frame a video stream of a priority group from the detected participants. In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method includes determining a plurality of subjects within a first view of a conference environment and altering a second view of the conference environment after determining that at least a portion of one or more of the plurality of subjects cannot fit in the second view when the second view is adjusted to include the other ones of the plurality of subjects. Here, each of the plurality of subjects includes a region-of-interest corresponding to a portion of an individual conference participant. Altering the second view includes determining a priority subject group and adjusting the second view to include the priority subject group.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally provides for advanced single camera video conferencing systems and methods related thereto. The advanced single camera video conferencing system features a hybrid optical/digital camera, herein a camera device, having a controller that is configured to execute one or more of the methods set forth herein. In one embodiment, a method includes optically framing a first portion of a video conferencing environment to provide an actual field-of-view, digitally framing a second portion of the video conferencing environment to provide an apparent field-of-view that is encompassed within the actual field-of-view, generating a video stream of the apparent field-of-view, surveying the actual field-of-view to generate survey data, and detecting changes in the survey data over time. The method may be performed using a single camera device using a single image sensor.
