Abstract: This disclosure describes various configurations for a keyboard having multiple key assemblies. Each of the key assemblies includes a keycap and a key stem supporting the keycap that includes a protrusion extending laterally therefrom. A first biasing member supports the key stem and is configured to provide a linear feedback response during actuation of the key assembly. A second biasing member is configured to engage the protrusion during actuation of the key assembly. The second biasing member has a user-configurable feedback response. In some embodiments, the first biasing member can be a compression spring and the second biasing member can be a torsion spring.
Abstract: A computer implemented method includes extracting one or more portions from a first video stream of a first physical environment; transmitting captured video data via a first communication link to one or more electronic display devices disposed within a second physical environment, wherein the captured video data includes the one or more extracted portions and the captured video data includes a preview portion that includes a first portion of a frame of the first video stream; and transmitting a second video stream of a second field of view of the first physical environment to at least one of the one or more electronic display devices disposed within the second physical environment via a second communication link, wherein the second video stream is generated in response to a selection of the preview portion of the captured video data made by a user located in the second physical environment.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, an electronic input device includes a knob assembly defining an annular cavity and including a magnetically attractable armature. The electronic input device also includes a ratchet assembly disposed within the annular cavity and includes a ring magnet. The electronic input device includes a clutch mechanism that has a friction disc assembly, and an electromagnet configured to generate a magnetic field that shifts the friction disc assembly between a first position in which the friction disc assembly prevents rotation of the ratchet assembly and a second position in which the ratchet assembly is free to rotate with the knob assembly. The ring magnet of the ratchet assembly interacts with the magnetically attractable armature to generate a ratcheting feedback in response to rotation of the knob assembly when the friction disc assembly is in the first position.

Abstract: An input device can include a chassis, a housing coupled to the chassis and forming a top surface of the input device, a depressible key plate integrated with and forming a part of the housing, a biasing mechanism (e.g., a spring) disposed within the housing and coupled to a bottom portion of the key plate to provide a downward force on the key plate, and a force sensor (e.g., switch) disposed in the chassis and in contact with the bottom portion of the key plate to activate in response to receiving a threshold force by the bottom surface of the key plate. The key plate may depress in response to receiving at least a predetermined depression force on the top surface. In some cases, the downward force provided by the biasing mechanism can be substantially equal to the predetermined depression force.

Abstract: Certain embodiments include an injection-molded portable speaker apparatus including a portable speaker housing with an opening formed on the surface, a flexible inverted speaker surround including an inner perimeter and an outer perimeter, where the outer perimeter is coupled to an outer edge of the opening of the housing, and a diaphragm coupled to the inner perimeter of the flexible surround such that the diaphragm is suspended within the opening of the housing, where the flexible surround and diaphragm form a speaker passive, and where the speaker housing and the flexible surround form a continuous unitized body. The injection molding process for the continuous unitized body can be a two-shot process, where the first shot forms the speaker housing, and the second shot forms the flexible surround, which may further over-mold the diaphragm, such that the diaphragm is part of the continuous unitized body.
