Abstract: In certain embodiments, an input device includes a chassis and a depressible actuator disposed on the chassis that, when depressed, generates and sends a control signal to a processor, where the actuator is coupleable to a removable button cover that provides user-access to activate the actuator, and a removable blank cover to prevent user access to activate the actuator. The button cover and blank cover can be separate from the chassis and may directly attach to the actuator. The input device can further include a second depressible actuator disposed on the chassis that, when depressed, generates and sends a second control signal to the processor, where the second actuator is coupleable to the button cover and the blank cover.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a transceiver is configured to wirelessly transfer data between a host computing device and a plurality of peripheral devices over a communication path using a communication data construct sent by the transceiver comprising a plurality of packet structures forming a communication protocol for communicating peripheral device data (HID or audio data) between the host device and the plurality of peripheral devices. Each of the packet structures of the plurality of packet structures can include a single destination address configured to identify which of the plurality of peripheral devices will receive peripheral device data from the host computing device in the present packet structure and which of the plurality of computer peripheral devices will not receive peripheral device data from the host computing device in a present packet structure; and a data field configured to contain peripheral operational data for each of the plurality of peripheral devices.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to custom-fit in-ear audio devices, also referred to herein as in-ear audio devices, custom-fit earpieces, or simply earpieces. The following discloses embodiments of custom-fit earpieces that include features providing superior retention in a user's ear while also maintaining desirable comfort and sound quality. The superior retention is generally provided by a curable filler material disposed in a sleeve body that is deformed to conform to the shape of a user's ear as the curable filler material is cured. The comfort level of the custom-fit earpiece described herein is enhanced because the audio output member can move independently or relative to the portion of the earpiece that includes the curable filler material, thus allowing the audio output member to adjust to and comfortably fit within a given user's ear canal.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a bone graft material grafted with 4-hexylresorcinol affecting bone formation, the bone graft material which not only can rapidly promote bone formation by mixing hydrous ethanol having low concentration 4-hexylresorcinol dissolved therein and a base material for release control with distilled water or a salt-dissolved aqueous solution to obtain a mixed solution and precipitating a bone graft material into the mixed solution, thereby injecting 4-hexylresorcinol into the bone graft material, but also can have a consistent treatment effect by adjusting elution amount of 4-hexylresorcinol through the base material for release control, thereby allowing 4-hexylresorcinol to be slowly released during a treatment period.
Abstract: A knob for an input device includes a knob housing being rotatable on an axis, a shaft extending from the knob housing along the axis, a ratchet wheel axially coupled to the shaft with a toothed perimeter, and a ratchet arm to couple to the toothed perimeter of the ratchet wheel when the ratchet arm is engaged such that a ratcheted rotation occurs when the knob is rotated, and decouple from the toothed perimeter of the ratchet wheel when the ratchet arm is disengaged. The knob can further include a resistance wheel axially coupled to the shaft with a substantially smooth perimeter, and a resistance arm to couple to the smooth perimeter of the resistance wheel when the resistance arm is engaged such that a friction is provided when the knob is rotated, and decouple from the smooth perimeter of the resistance wheel when the resistance arm is disengaged.
Abstract: A method of operating a video camera system comprises recording video frames of a scene that includes a zone defined as an area within a field-of-view of the video capture element; performing a first analysis of recorded video frames showing the zone, determining, based on the first analysis, a first difference of composition thereof; performing a second analysis of an area outside of the zone; determining, based on the second analysis, a second difference of composition thereof; characterizing one or more properties corresponding to the second difference in composition; determining whether the one or more properties are associated with the first difference in composition within the zone and if so, characterizing the first difference in composition within the zone based on the one more properties and performing an action based on the characterization of the first difference in composition within the zone based on the one or more properties.
Abstract: Eye fatigue from looking too long at a computer monitor can not only cause physical symptoms, it can also reduce productivity. Eye tracking is used to determine potential eye fatigue. After potential eye fatigue is determined, an eye fatigue mitigation action is triggered. Eye fatigue mitigation action can including providing a notification, blurring a screen, and blanking a screen. Eye tracking can also be used to verify that a user has taken an eye fatigue mitigation action, such as diverted looking from a screen for a sufficient amount of time. By implementing eye fatigue mitigation actions, symptoms can be reduced and/or productivity increased.
Abstract: In some embodiments, an input device for interfacing within an VR/AR environment can include a processor, one or more motion tracking sensors to track a motion of the input device in three-dimensional (3D) space, where a cursor in the VR/AR environment moves based on the tracked motion of the input device in 3D space and is limited to tracked motion having three degrees of freedom (DOF). The input device can further include a button that, when activated, selects an application window in the VR/AR environment when the cursor is placed over the application window, where the application window moves in the VR/AR environment based on the tracked motion of the input device in 3D space while the application window is selected. The input device can include a user interface that, when activated, accesses and controls content on the selected application window.

Abstract: A gaming controller is provided. The gaming controller includes a controller; a plurality of input positions; and a plurality of input modules, each input module configured to receive user input to the gaming controller. The plurality of input modules are connected to the controller to form a ring network. Each of the plurality of input modules is connected to the ring network through a different one of the input positions. The controller is configured to initiate a transmission of a data packet around the ring network, and each input module is configured to enter data into a different section of the data packet. Each input module is configured to determine the section of the data packet to enter data into based on one or more of (1) a type of that input module and (2) whether one or more sections of the data packet already include data from one of the input modules.
Abstract: Disclosed is a wireless wearable electronic device having an antenna that communicatively couples the wearable electronic device to another wearable electronic device and to a remote, portable device. The antenna is generally shaped like a loop or ring, has a bow with respect to the plane of the loop or ring and operates in conjunction with the ground planes of the printed circuit boards in proximity to the antenna to form a principal omni-directional lobe about the ear of the user and a secondary lobe downwardly directed from the head of the user to communicate with the remote device.
Abstract: An input device having an overlapping key structure includes a plurality of keys, each of the plurality of keys configured to actuate a respective key switch in response to an applied mechanical force; and a key support frame, where each of the plurality of keys includes a spring arm portion coupled to the key support frame at a first end of the each of the plurality of keys such that the each of the plurality of keys deflects through a range of motion in response to the applied mechanical force, and each of the plurality of keys overlaps with another one of the plurality of keys such that each of the plurality of keys is included in an envelope of a two-dimensional cross section of the range of motion of another one of the plurality of keys when viewed from a direction perpendicular to the two-dimensional cross section.
