    Abstract: Hub-mounted active vibration control (HAVC) devices, systems, and related methods are provided. An HAVC device (100) includes a housing (206) having a tolerance ring (600) attached to a rotary hub (702). The tolerance ring can accommodate dissimilar coefficients of thermal expansion between dissimilar metals. The HAVC device can also include a plurality of coaxial ring motors (308A, 308B, 310A, 310B) configured to rotate a plurality of imbalance masses for controlling vibration. An HAVC system can further include a de-icing distributor (208) for communicating instructions to one or more heating sources (HS) provided at one or more rotary blades (802) of a vehicle or aircraft. A method of controlling vibratory loads occurring at a moving platform can include providing a moving platform, mounting a vibration control device to a portion of the moving platform, and rotating at least one pair of imbalance masses such that the combined forces of the masses substantially cancel unwanted vibration of the platform.

    Abstract: A binder formulation is provided including water, a first polymer, and a second polymer. The first polymer is preferred to be a poly(carboxylic acid) and the second polymer is preferred to be a co-polymer containing both carboxylic acid and hydrophobic monomers. The first polymer can be polymers such as poly(acrylic acid), poly(methacrylic acid), poly(maleic acid), or poly(itaconic) acid. The second polymer is preferred to be an alternating copolymer of a monomer of a carboxylic acid and a hydrophobic monomer such as styrene, isobutylene, or n-alkenes. These binder formulations are particularly useful in making granulated powders in powder metallurgy and additive manufacturing.

The processor and the sensor module transceiver of this one of the plurality of sensor modules are powered solely with electricity derived from the energy harvesting device. The method further includes providing a base station. The method further includes periodically wirelessly receiving a broadcast resynchronization timing packet with each of the sensor module transceivers, wherein the broadcast resynchronization timing packet received by each of the sensor module transceivers includes a common resynchronization time value. The method further includes periodically resynchronizing each of the sensor module precision timekeepers based on a signal derived from the resynchronization time value.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media for providing lossless transmission of sensor data in a wireless network are provided. In some aspects, a method for transmitting data in a wireless sensor network includes collecting data at a sensor node, attaching a timestamp to the data, buffering the data and the timestamp to a memory device and retransmitting the collected data where the sensor node fails to receive an acknowledgement message from the base station after the data transmission. In some aspects, a system can include a plurality of wireless sensor nodes having synchronized clocks and a base station. Collected sensor data can be associated with a timestamp via the clock prior to transmitting the data to the base station. The data can be buffered at a memory device and retransmitted therefrom to provide lossless data transmission.

Upon fatigue of the bearing, the first elastomeric composition is detectable through a fracture extending from an exterior surface of the bearing stack.
