Patents Assigned to Lourdes Industries
  • Patent number: 5388866
Abstract: A high pressure fitting is provided .which comprises an adjustment nut with nipples extending therefrom in axial extension of one another. The nipples are provided with exterior threads and with conically shaped ends which are respectively engaged by ferrules. Each of these ferrules is engaged by a coupling member having an interior thread which is in engagement with the threads provided on the associated nipple. Adjustment of the threads operates to pull the ferrules against the associated nipples. On each nipple is mounted a frusto-conical ramp adjacent which is provided a cylindrical arrangement of spaced fingers or a thin wall cylinder having protruding tips directed radially inwards. These fingers or the cylinder with their respective tips ride up the ramps and are loosely accommodated in their respectively associated nipples to prevent accidental detachment thereof. The fingers pressing against the ramps serve to vector forces to remove play from between the inter-engaged threads.

Each of these ferrules is engaged by a coupling member having an interior thread which is in engagement with the threads provided on the associated nipple. Each coupling member is provided with a cylindrical arrangement of spaced fingers or a thin wall cylinder having protruding tips directed radially inwards. These fingers or the cylinder with their respective tips ride up the ramps until the tips extend beyond the ramps and are loosely accommodated in their respectively associated annular grooves.

  • Patent number: 4107454
Abstract: Apparatus is provided for pneumatically communicating with a pressurized cable provided with a peripheral opening. The apparatus includes a saddle of resilient material having a cross-section defined by a parabola and the arc of a circle. The saddle is adapted to sit astride the cable in surrounding relationship with the opening. A pneumatic fitting is molded into the saddle in generally parallel relationship with the cable. The saddle is provided with a bore communicating with the fitting and generally perpendicular thereto. The bore communicates with the opening in the cable. A sealing compound is provided between the saddle and the cable and the saddle is held on the cable by a pair of straps holding a metal strip against the saddle. An orientation protrusion is located on the saddle in alignment with the bore and protruding through an opening provided in the strip.

  • Patent number: 3960019
Abstract: For monitoring a plurality of pressurized cables and supplying electrical signals in accordance therewith, there is provided a cannister arrangement of transducers. The cannister is provided with a closure by which the cannister is pivotally mounted. The closure is provided with a plurality of bores through which pressure medium can be transmitted. The transducers are mounted on the closure and communicate through the bores with a plurality of armored hoses supplying pressurized medium originating in the pressurized cables which are being monitored. A plurality of wires ae bundled together into a cable which is mounted on the closure, the wires extending through the closure for connection to printed circuits which lead to contacts with which the transducers make electrical connection. The wires connect the transducers to a monitoring device or the like. The arrangement is particularly suitable for use in connection with monitoring pressurized telephone cables.
