Abstract: A method for producing an escape route marking and the apparatus for an airplane comprising a luminous layer that luminesces in the dark, and a profile having two profile elements that can be connected to each other, wherein in a first of the profile elements, the luminous layer is arranged in a recess extending in the longitudinal direction, and the second profile element is provided to be connected with a base, wherein the procedure comprises the following steps: production of the luminous layer from a mixture of a silicone material and from photoluminescent pigments, and introduction of the mixture in a liquid state into the recess of the first profile element, wherein the mixture cures in the seat by crosslinking with the walls in the profile.
Abstract: A method for measuring the internal space of an elongate body. The elongate body has in a global xyz-coordinate system a longitudinal axis x. A laser profile scan is carried out, in which a laser scanner, which carries out scans in a plane, is moved through the internal space of the elongate body. The scan plane is tilted about the y-axis by a tilt angle ? or about the z-axis by a tilt angle ?. Preferably, the scan plane is tilted about the y-axis and the z-axis corresponding to the global coordinate system of the internal space. An apparatus for carrying out the method.
Abstract: A seat having a seat surface and a backrest also includes a reboard seat frame which is pivotably mounted in the lower region of the backrest and/or in the connecting/transition region of backrest and seat surface. At least one part of the cushion of the backrest is connected to the reboard seat frame and can pivot with this reboard seat frame. The reboard seat frame in a stowed position is arranged essentially parallel to the backrest and can pivot from the stowed position into a reboard in-use position in which it occupies an angular position between the planes of the backrest and of the seat surface. In the reboard in-use position, the part of the cushion of the backrest which is connected to the reboard seat frame forms the seat surface of a reboard child seat.
Abstract: Method for repairing a gas turbine component, which at least at the spot to be repaired consists of a ceramic composite material, where an energy beam locally heats the gas turbine component in a zone, and where one or more auxiliary materials and optionally fibers and/or particles are fed to this zone, wherein a ceramic is generated in the melting zone through the one or more auxiliary materials, and, optionally, the one or more auxiliary materials together with the fibers and/or particles forms a ceramic composite material.
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for speech and/or data communication between a mobile telephone on board an aircraft and terminals in communication networks outside the aircraft. The invention allows communication with third parties on the ground during a flight, with calls handled in a manner that is largely or completely automatic for the user of the mobile telephone, such that the user can use his mobile telephone just as well as if he were in the area of his home network on the ground. The communication is handled directly via the satellite communication path between the aircraft and the ground, bypassing the mobile radio operator with whom the user of the mobile telephone has completed a contract.
Abstract: A device for recontouring a gas turbine blade includes at least one support configured to rest on an edge of the gas turbine blade during the recontouring, at least one side bearing configured to rest on an intake side or an outlet side of the gas turbine blade during the recontouring and a machining unit for machining the gas turbine blade. The machining unit is configured to fuse at least one partial area of the edge of the gas turbine blade using a beam of energy that is targeted such that material of the blade solidifies into a new contour, substantially without the addition of supplementary material.

Abstract: An escape route marking for a passenger cabin in an airplane, with a plurality of longitudinal segments which are sequentially arranged along the escape route that is to be marked, wherein each segment has a support module and a light module that is arranged on the support module, and the light module has an essentially transparent plastic material into which photo-luminescent pigments are mixed which afterglow in the dark, wherein the pigments are micro-encapsulated in a second material such that liquid and moisture do not come into contact with the pigments.
Abstract: An aircraft includes interchangeable, wirelessly controllable electrical or electronic functional units provided for use by passengers and associated with a seat or group of seats. The aircraft further includes installation sites for the functional units, each installation site being associated with one seat or a group of seats. The functional units are removable such that they can be installed and uninstalled in the installation sites or replaced during maintenance work without forfeiting the operational approval of the aircraft. Each functional unit includes an RFID reader operating in a contactless manner to identify the installation site of the functional unit and a device for the wireless transmission of the identified installation site to a database of the aircraft. An RFID tag is associated with each installation site and contains information readable by the RFID reader to identify the associated seat or group of seats.
Abstract: The subject matter of the invention is an arrangement for determining the pressure in an undercarriage tire of an aircraft, which arrangement has a measurement matrix (1) with a plurality of load sensors which are arranged in an area over which the aircraft tire can roll. The invention provides that the arrangement is designed to measure the pressure difference between two or more undercarriage tires.

Abstract: A system for wirelessly transmitting information to a mobile appliance of a user of a means of transport. The system can include a first database containing journey-related information and a second database containing a profile for the user. The system can further include a first device configured to identify the mobile appliance of the user when the mobile appliance enters a range of a wireless local area network in the means of transport, a second device configured to select information from the first database based on the profile stored in the second database, and a third device configured to transmit the selected information to the mobile appliance of the user.
Abstract: The object of the invention is a device for cleaning the core engine of a jet engine, having a supply unit, which provides the cleaning medium, a nozzle unit, which is configured for feeding the cleaning medium into the core engine, and a line connection (10) between the supply unit and the nozzle unit. The invention provides that the nozzle unit has a means for the rotationally fixed connection to the fan shaft of the jet engine, and that a rotary coupling (5) is provided between the nozzle unit and the line connection (10). The object of the invention is further an arrangement of such a device and a turbo fan jet engine, and a method for cleaning the core engine of a jet engine using the device.
