In the forefoot region, the intermediate section includes a plurality of curving portions arranged adjacent to each other such that each curving portion of the plurality of curving portions is spaced apart from neighboring curving portions by one or more gaps. Air is configured to flow from an interior of the upper to an exterior of the upper through the one or more gaps between neighboring curving portions of the plurality of curving portions in the forefoot region of the upper.

Abstract: An article of footwear incorporating an upper formed by a forefoot component, a knitted workpiece, and a heel component is described. Each of the forefoot component, the knitted workpiece, and the heel component are separate from each other and joined along connection areas. Reinforcement elements cover the connection areas. In one embodiment, the knitted workpiece includes a collar portion and a throat portion extending from a forward end of the collar portion. The knitted workpiece also includes a medial lobe extending from one side of the throat portion and a lateral lobe extending from an opposite side of the throat portion from the medial lobe. The collar portion, the throat portion, the medial lobe, and the lateral lobe form a single unified knitted workpiece.

Abstract: Examples of a waistband for a garment are disclosed. The waist band includes a front portion for covering at least a portion of an abdomen of a wearer, a back portion for covering at least a portion of a lower back area of the wearer, a first inner panel extending from a front central line at the front portion to a back central line at the back portion, a second inner panel extending from the front central line at the front portion to the back central line at the back portion, and at least one bonding adhesive panel bonding together the back portion with the first and second inner panels. The inside of the disclosed waistbands are seamless.

Abstract: A dual-layered midsole for footwear includes an internal midsole layer and an external midsole layer, which are coupled to and separated by a Strobel board. The internal midsole layer may compress and expand with the movement of a wearer of an article of footwear including the dual-layered midsole, while the external midsole may provide stability and cushion for the wearer. Materials selected for the internal and external midsole layers may provide tuned viscoelastic properties to different areas of the midsole as a function of midsole layer thickness at each sole area.

Abstract: Socks including targeted cushioning zones include various knitted materials disposed within areas of the foot which experience specific conditions during running. Areas of the sock which include cushioning pods correspond to areas of the foot which experience pressure loading. Areas of the sock which include mesh correspond to areas of the foot which produce sweat. Areas of the sock which include ribbing and/or cushioning pods correspond to areas of the foot which have sensitive skin.

Abstract: This invention relates to undergarments for use in active environments, where the wearer of such an undergarment is engaged in an activity that results in accelerating movements. In some preferred embodiments, these undergarments may be athletic or sports bras that redirect momentum related to a wearer's accelerating movements, for example, during exercise.

Abstract: Examples of an exercise mat having a three-dimensional surface texture and methods for making same are disclosed. The exercise mat may have a first malleable layer formed from a polyurethane material with an elastic fabric material attached to a lower surface thereof. A second layer may be attached to the elastic fabric material of the first layer. The second layer may be formed from a thermoplastic elastomer material and may have the three-dimensional surface texture formed on an upper surface thereof to which the first layer conforms. The exercise mat may also include a third rubber layer attached to the second layer.

Abstract: Examples of a sleeve for a garment are disclosed. The sleeve comprises an outer panel attached along respective side edges thereof to form an outer sleeve and an inner panel attached along respective side edges thereof to form an inner liner of the sleeve. The inner liner and the outer sleeve are attached at least along respective edges of their respective lower ends forming a hand opening. An elastic band is attached to the inner liner proximate a wrist area of the sleeve and is spaced apart from the outer sleeve. The elastic band is configured to draw the inner liner into contact with and hug a wrist area of the wearer while the outer layer is loosely fitted around the wrist area of the wearer.
