Abstract: The quick connection allows fastening a tool to the lifter arm of an operating machine and includes first and second joining means associated respectively to said lifter arm and said tool aimed at being reciprocally engaged. The first joining means includes a swivel head that swivels between a raised position and a lowered one and a first gudgeon; the second joining means include a shaped body that defines a calibrated inlet opening and support means. The swivel head, in raised position, enters the shaped body through the opening, then it rotates to its lowered position, thus bringing the first gudgeon in engagement with said support means. The shaped body includes a stop aimed at striking a winglet of the swivel head and at preventing the latter from going out in any succession of movements which are not inversely equal to those carried out for the introduction.

Abstract: Methods and corresponding Machine-to-Machine Application Server (M2M-AS) and XML Data Management Server (XDMS) are provided for managing groups of M2M applications running on various devices. As groups of M2M applications are formed in a network, the group information comprising identities of the groups and identities of M2M applications belonging to each group is relayed to the M2M-AS. The later further sends such information to the XDMS server for storage. Requests for group membership related to M2M applications can then be handled. When a request for group membership related to an application is received at an M2M gateway or at the M2M-AS, the request is further sent to the XMDS server, which replies back to the requestor with identities of the group(s) that comprise the given M2M application, thus enabling, for example, the requestor to communicate not only with the application, but with entire groups comprising the application.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for reducing an air interface load in a communication network. A base station is provided with a receiver adapted to receive signals from a terminal via a Dedicated Physical Control Channel (DPCCH) and a second control channel. A measuring unit measures a signal to interference ratio (SIR) of the DPCCH. An effective SIR determining unit determines an effective SIR on the basis of the measured SIR of the DPCCH and an estimate of the SIR of the second control channel. A comparison unit compares the effective SIR with a target SIR, and a power determination unit determines a power control command for controlling power usage for the DPCCH on the basis of the comparison. A transmitter sends a message to the terminal, the message including the power control command. The invention allows the DPCCH power (or DPCCH SIR) operating point to be maintained at a low level.

  • Publication number: 20130012202
Abstract: A base station transmits signals on a frequency (f1) in an active transmission interval (TI) having a starting time and being part of a transmission cycle (TC) including other active transmission intervals for other frequencies (f0, f1, f2, f3) appearing in a predetermined discontinuous transmission scheme that specifies the relationship (?1, Az, A3) between the starting times of the active transmission intervals of the frequencies of the set. The mobile station scans the set of frequencies during a scanning cycle (SC) corresponding to the transmission cycle (TC) and determines the frequencies at which the base stations transmit. The start of each scanning is made at a point in time that is specified for the corresponding frequency by the discontinuous transmission scheme and the scanning of one frequency involves ending scanning of this frequency at the end of a time range (TR) of pre-determined length if no signal is detected within this time range.
