Abstract: A hand truck having improvements made to simplify and make more ergonomically use of a hand truck by an operator. The hand truck provided having adjustable handles and a bottom portion having adjustable stair climbers with improved feature and an improved wheel and brake assembly have an axle-less wheel assembly and an improved caliper mounting system. These features are discussed in detail in the forgoing.

Abstract: A hand truck includes a frame, a toe plate connected to the frame, a pair of wheels rotatably secured to the frame, and a handle connected to the frame. A fourth-wheel attachment is pivotally connected to the frame at a first point and removable connected to the frame at a second point. A lever positioned adjacent to the handle causes the removable connection between the fourth-wheel attachment and the frame to be released, allowing the fourth-wheel assembly to pivot away from the frame. An embodiment of a hand truck includes a break back bar. The break back bar is pivotable with respect to the frame. The break back bar may be deployed and stood on by a user to prevent movement of the hand truck while pivoting a load.

Abstract: A pallet mover intended to lift and move pallets. The pallet mover including a first deck, a second deck and a locking mechanism. In one embodiment, the locking mechanism includes three crescent shaped brackets with elongated slots therein. The two outermost brackets pivot to lift the first deck to raised position, and position the handle upright and at the 45-degree angles (for pushing or pulling the unit). The center bracket includes an aperture to receive the spring-loaded locking pin which locks the deck and handle portion in either the up or down position. The present pallet mover is manually driven thus having increased maneuverability and lower manufacturing cost.

This facilitates locating one pallet on the higher shoe, lifting it slightly off of the supporting surface, and then moving to and lifting another pallet on the lower shoe. The adjacent pallets can then be moved together and off loaded at different locations, unloading the pallet on the lower shoe first, and the pallet on the higher shoe thereafter.

Abstract: A pallet picking adapter (100) is adapted for use with a forklift truck (102). The pallet picking adapter (100) includes a bulkhead (130) attached to a frame of the forklift truck (102). The adapter (100) further comprises a deck system (178) having a pair of deck assemblies (180). The deck assemblies (180) can be stored with the bulkhead (130) in the vertical, upright position. For use, the deck assemblies (180) can be individually lowered so as to rest upon forks (120, 122) of the truck (102). In these operable positions, the deck assemblies (180) can be utilized to transport CooLift pallets (320, 322). When the deck assemblies (180) are in the stored, upright position, the adapter 100 can be utilized to transport conventional pallets of standards sizes.

Abstract: A hand truck for carrying and lifting a load comprising spaced vertical columns each having a channel. Rollers are captured in each of said channels that are capable of vertical movement along its respective channel. A first toe plate is affixed to said columns and adapted to extend horizontally during use. A second toe plate is attached to the rollers and adapted to move vertically along said columns between upper and lower positions. The first and second toe plates are in nesting relationship when the second toe plate is in its lower position.

The legs and deck may be made out of plastic materials, and may be formed in one-piece or in separate pieces connected together by complementary and mated connection features. The deck may include a plurality of friction elements adapted to engage an object on the deck to, for example, reduce slippage of the object relative to the deck.

Abstract: A hand truck for carrying and transporting loads includes a frame, one or more wheels, and one or more active identifiers. The wheels are connected to the frame for moving the hand truck place to place. In one embodiment, the active identifier(s) includes a housing with a base connected to the frame and with a cover removably connected to the base. The active identifier(s) includes one or more light sources supported by the housing and enclosed by the cover. The active identifier(s) includes a power source supported by the housing in order to provide power to the light source(s).

Abstract: A portable floor surface and method of use thereof facilitates unloading side-by-side cargo carts disposed in laterally spaced relation with an aisle defined between them. The floor surface has a body with opposite front and rear ends and lower and upper surfaces extending between the front and rear ends. The upper surface is brought into a generally flush relation with the floor of the cargo cart when the lower surface is resting on a common floor surface with the cargo cart. A ramp surface extends at an upward inclination from the front end toward the rear end and a latch member operably associated with the body is adapted for operable engagement with a first cargo cart to releasably lock the portable floor surface to the first cargo cart.
