Patent number: 7216877Abstract: A brake system operable to inhibit movement of a non-powered transportable cart. The cart has a platform with opposite front and rear ends, at least one pivotal caster wheel adjacent and supporting one of the front or rear ends, and a pair of fixed wheels. The brake system has a brake arm with a brake bar extending laterally therefrom. The brake arm is pivotal between a disengaged position and an engaged position. When in the disengaged position, a gap is defined between the brake bar and the fixed wheels to allow the fixed wheels to rotate freely. When in the engaged position, the brake bar engages the fixed wheels to prevent them from rotating. A brake latch is carried by the platform and has a catch sized to receive the brake arm to releasably maintain the brake arm in its engaged position.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2005Date of Patent: May 15, 2007Assignee: Magline, Inc.Inventors: Jeffry R. Patent number: 6923458Abstract: A cart assembly for transporting products on a base platform carried on wheels has a canvas wall. Inversely U-shaped front and rear side rail skeleton structures, with vertically spaced cross rails, on the cart define a front to rear extending product compartment between them spanned by the canvas wall. Vertically spaced side straps loop around the side rail structures to correlate with the cross rails and have coupler ends. Straps carrying mating couplers project from the edges of the canvas wall in vertically spaced relation correlating with the cross rails to couple with the couplers on the side straps.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 2004Date of Patent: August 2, 2005Assignee: Magline, Inc.Inventors: James S. Hooper, Jerry J. McQuarter, Jr., Susan M. Frank

Patent number: 6742792Abstract: A cart assembly has canvas top and side walls for transporting products on a base platform carried on wheels. Inversely U-shaped front and rear side rail skeleton structures, with vertically spaced cross rails, on the cart define a product compartment between them. Vertically spaced side straps loop around the side rail structures to correlate with the cross rails and have coupler ends. A unitary fabric cover is draped in inversely U-shaped configuration on the cart to provide a top wall and side walls. Cover straps carrying mating couplers project from the side walls of the cover in vertically spaced relation correlating with the cross rails to couple with the couplers on the side straps.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2002Date of Patent: June 1, 2004Assignee: Magline, Inc.Inventors: James S.
