    Abstract: The problem that a metal wire joined integrally to a hole formed in a proximal end face of a medical suture needle is susceptible to bending damage is reduced. A suture needle A has a blind hole 5 which is formed in a proximal end face 3, inserts the end of a wire 10 thereinto, and joins the wire 10 thereto by caulking, and a counterbore 6 which is formed on the proximal end face 3 side of the blind hole 5 and has a dimension D at least in the proximal end face 3 larger than a dimension d of the blind hole 5 and a depth L smaller than a depth of a caulked portion with respect to the blind hole 5. A suture needle with wire inserts the end of the wire 10 into the blind hole 5 to caulk the outer circumference of the suture needle corresponding to the blind hole 5, thereby integrally joins the wire 10 thereto.

    Abstract: [Problem] Because the knife edge of medical knives such as straight knives manufactured with austenite stainless steel is thin and sharp, there is the problem that the knife edge bends too easily when making incisions in the cornea, sclera, etc. during ophthalmologic surgery. The invention provides a medical knife capable of increasing the strength of the thin, sharp knife edge and preventing the reduction of sharpness. [Solution] This medical knife has a flat cutting part and an inclined surface formed along the border of said cutting part. By electrolytic polishing or chemical polishing of the inclined surface, a convexly curved cutting edge is formed on at least the edge of the inclined surface of the knife. The knife edge has a rounded configuration. The knife edge being rounded increases the thickness of the knife edge, increases the strength thereof and hinders bending.

The bending method curves a medical suturing needle by sandwiching and constricting a material for the medical suturing needle between the bending roller and the belt and by rotating the bending roller reciprocally in the winding direction and in the rewinding direction. In the bending method, the curved shape of the material is changed by changing the winding angle of the belt to be wound on the outer circumference of the bending top thereby to change the area for constricting the material.

    Abstract: A stainless steel bur is provided which can cut minute depressions and even healthy dentin when necessary, allowing a technician to detect when cutting the healthy dentin. A handle connected to a hand piece on the base side, a working section to which a cutting blade for cutting teeth is attached to the tip, and the working section and the handle are connected to a tapered intermediate section. This steel bur is formed into a fiber structure by hardening austenitic stainless steel. Since the tapered part bends and generates vibrations when the working section is rotated to cut healthy dentin, it can be understood that the healthy dentin is being cut, and excessive cutting may be prevented. Alternatively, excessive cutting may be prevented by processing from the maximum diameter of the working section to the tip thereof through etching to round cutting blade edge and make a blunt edge.

The etching is performed to the limit that allows creation of a plurality of craters on the working portion, but does not allow creation of grooves along the fibrous structure. Afterwards, application of silicone is performed on the resulting surface.
