  • Patent number: 6696186
Abstract: The humidifying device for a fuel cell has a membrane, one side of which is exposed to cathode exhaust gas of a fuel cell for extracting water vapor from the exhaust gas. A connecting element connects the other side of the membrane to an anode or cathode gas supply to the fuel cell. In operation, water vapor permeates through the membrane and passes on through the connecting elements to humidify the gas being supplied to the fuel cell. A vacuum pump may additionally be provided to enhance the extraction of water vapor from the exhaust gas. A no metering unit allows accurate metering of the humidity of the cathode or anode gas supply.

  • Patent number: 6650891
Abstract: An apparatus and method for informing a first mobile wireless subscriber identity module which is signed on to a mobile wireless network about further mobile wireless subscriber identity modules that are likewise signed on to a mobile wireless network includes sending a mobile wireless short message to each of the further mobile wireless subscriber identity modules. Based on the delivery to a mobile wireless subscriber identity module of pertinent delivery information, the further mobile wireless subscriber identity modules that are likewise signed on in a mobile wireless network may be determined. • Patent number: 6611749
Abstract: Optimized, universal transmission of traffic information and the coding thereof by different terminals is permitted in a simple, inexpensive and efficient manner by apparatuses and a method for transmitting traffic information relating to a road traffic network from a traffic information control center to at least one terminal. In the control center, the segments of the road traffic network which are affected by the traffic information are either coded using a location coordinate table, available in the control center, in a form which represents the location of the segments, or are coded using a segment table, available in the control center, in a form which represents the identity of the segments without their location. The control center transmits to the terminal a selection information item which indicates which of the two above codings is used in the transmitted information.

  • Patent number: 6611194
Abstract: A secure and efficient key management system for utilizing a service key for retrieving service data transmitted to a terminal from a service center via a communication channel. A service key is inserted into a terminal and is used to enable the decryption of the received encrypted service data from the service center. The service center requests and obtains a coding key from a trust center when the service center receives a service key transmission request from the from the terminal. The service key transmission request includes a terminal identity number. The service center forwards the request to the trust center which returns the coding key associated with a decoding key corresponding to the specific terminal. The service center encrypts the service key with the coding key and transmits the service key to the terminal. The service key is decrypted in the terminal using the decoding key input to the terminal by the terminal manufacturer.

  • Patent number: 6585299
Abstract: A pipe joint with a sleeve element, which has an internal thread, and with a spigot element, which has an external thread which can be screwed to said internal thread. One element has a constant pitch throughout and the other element, with two sections extending in each case from the ends of the threaded length is likewise provided with a constant pitch. The other element has more than two sections with a pitch which is constant within the section but is different from the first-mentioned element, it being the case that the pitch difference at least of one section is in the opposite direction, in terms of sign, to the rest of the sections. The pitch difference of one section is at least double that of the adjacent sections and in the screwed-together position, in the section with the large pitch difference, the thread play and the thread tolerances are compensated and the load flank of one corner tooth of this section, with the guide flank of the other corner tooth, produces the basic bracing.

  • Patent number: 6563820
Abstract: The invention relates to a process and a device for forwarding non-speech-bound information between a mobile communications network and any other communications network. To allow data packets data to be sent, regardless of its receiver address, to the involved communications network, the transmission route for the forwarding of the information is established as a function of the identification code of the data packet one logical transmission channel is assigned to each identification code, and each logical transmission channel is bound to exactly one physical transmission channel. For this purpose, an identification code is assigned to each incoming logical transmission channel. The logical transmission channels from the mobile communications network then are permanently connected to selected outgoing physical transmission channels to different communications networks.
