  • Patent number: 6494442
Abstract: A self-pumping hydropneumatic spring strut with internal leveling is provided for use in motor vehicles having an oil filled working cylinder, which is under the pressure of at least one gas cushion arranged in a high pressure chamber and acting as a spring. The high pressure chamber is connected to a working space, wherein a bleed opening forms a flow connection between the working space and the low pressure chamber. The bleed opening can be closed as a function of the position of the working piston in the working cylinder. The spring strut is assigned an actuator which displaces the spring strut in the vertical direction. The actuator can displace the motor vehicle to a plurality of displacement distances without requiring any electrical or electronic control, complex external leveling devices, or displacement detection systems.

  • Patent number: 6486583
Abstract: An electromagneto-mechanical converter has winding teeth composed of a material which is suitable for carrying a magnetic flux of a magnetic circuit. The winding teeth each have a winding support element for accommodating a winding, an attachment region for attaching the winding tooth to a yoke of the electromagneto-mechanical energy converter, and a transition element which tapers from the winding supporting element to the attachment region and is immediately adjacent to the yoke of the electromagneto-mechanical converter. The attachment region has a magnetic reluctance which is greater than that of the winding supporting element and the transitional element owing to a change in the grain structure of the material, so that the magnetic flux which enters the transitional element from the winding supporting element is substantially passed from the transitional element into the yoke, and the attachment region is substantially free of magnetic flux.

  • Patent number: 6469407
Abstract: An electrical machine with a cooling system for the removal of waste heat includes a stator laminated core having a plurality of first sheet metal laminations stacked to form a first core part having a plurality of axial passages arranged on a reference circle which is concentric to a central axis, and a plurality of second sheet metal laminations stacked to form a second core part having a plurality of axial recesses which are also on the reference circle. • Patent number: 6454314
Abstract: An elastomeric seal seals a pipe which is held in a push-in part of a plug-in coupling relative to a cylindrical interior surface of a housing of the plug-in coupling, into which the push-in part is pushed together with the pipe. The seal is in prestressed contact with the interior surface of the housing via an outward-facing annular lip and with the pipe via a radially inward-facing annular lip. The elastomeric seal is connectable by positive fitting to the push-in part, this positive fit being lockable by the assembly of the pipe to form a non-releasable connection, the pipe having a cylindrical and uninterrupted exterior circumference in the region of the seal. The joint between the seal and the push-in part is simple to assemble and is lockable by the insertion of the pipe. The connection of the seal to the push-in part may be additionally secured, with certain changes of diameter, by compression of the web-shaped connection between them.
