The zero-setting devices include two members coupled to a shaft rotatable by a control lever. In a first position of the control lever the members are locked and the gauging head is in gauging condition. In a second position of the control lever the members are unlocked and can translate along the shaft permitting to carry out the zero-setting operation of the head because the two movable arms and the second pair of arms engage the members in such a way that the arms can rotate about the pins while maintaining a determined setting of the transducers.

A cord-holder device is fastened to one end of the handle in a removable manner. The handle has an opening which, after the removal of the cord-holder device and the detachment of the handle from the support plate, makes it possible completely to remove the handle from the cord and the connector.
