  • Patent number: 11845970
Abstract: The present invention provides for recombinant Endo-S2 mutants (named Endo-S2 glycosynthases) that exhibit reduced hydrolysis activity and increased transglycosylation activity for the synthesis of glycoproteins wherein a desired sugar chain is added to a fucosylated or nonfucosylated GlcNAc-IgG acceptor. As such, the present invention allows for the synthesis and remodeling of therapeutic antibodies thereby providing for certain biological activities, such as, prolonged half-life time in vivo, less immunogenicity, enhanced in vivo activity, increased targeting ability, and/or ability to deliver a therapeutic agent.

  • Patent number: 11846633
Abstract: Seroprotection analysis systems, kits, and techniques are described for testing oral fluid for the presence of protective levels of antibodies of interest. In one aspect, the presence of protective levels of target antibodies indicates a test subject has achieved a target seroprotection level, such as but not limited to a target seroprotection level following vaccination. A collection kit can include a swab that enables collection of oral fluid containing antibodies from both dentulous and edentulous individuals, a container that can be pre-filled with an extraction solution, and a nozzle that can be coupled to the container to form a fluid-tight device. A user can use the nozzle to seal the swab in the container and to compress the swab within the container.

  • Patent number: 11833256
Abstract: The invention relates to compositions and methods as part of a pharmacotherapeutic strategy that targets the endochondral ossification process in a pharmacologically selective and site-specific manner. A variety of orthopedic pathologies are caused by or associated with generalized or local dysregulation of endochondral ossification, for example trauma to the bone growth plate or diaphysis can cause a serious imbalance in bone growth, leading to progressive deformity that today can only be treated surgically. Dysregulated endochondral ossification is also behind heterotopic ossification, which arises in soft tissues and causes pain, decrease in mobility and other clinical problems. The invention therefore provides RARy agonist and antagonist nanoparticle compositions for treating abnormal endochondral ossification and bone growth that can deliver robust local therapeutic control over a particular long bone's growth with a long-lasting effect.

  • Patent number: 11816740
Abstract: Systems and methods for intellectual property (IP) asset protection are disclosed. For example, by analyzing characteristic information associated with a user, along with feedback from one or more potential insurers, the system may determine various terms of an insurance policy for protecting the user against claims of IP infringement. The policy may provide for financial reimbursement for costs incurred while taking active measures to mitigate losses and/or defend against such claims. In addition, the system may analyze the characteristic information to identify various users having a low exposure of an infringement claim being asserted. The identified users may be actively targeted to acquire an IP protection policy.

  • Patent number: 11816537
Abstract: A modular quantum computer architecture is developed with a hierarchy of interactions that can scale to very large numbers of qubits. Local entangling quantum gates between qubit memories within a single modular register are accomplished using natural interactions between the qubits, and entanglement between separate modular registers is completed via a probabilistic photonic interface between qubits in different registers, even over large distances. This architecture is suitable for the implementation of complex quantum circuits utilizing the flexible connectivity provided by a reconfigurable photonic interconnect network. The subject architecture is made fault-tolerant which is a prerequisite for scalability.

  • Patent number: 11808492
Abstract: A cooling system employs at least one composite elastocaloric device. Each composite device has a first member with a first material and a second member with an elastocaloric material. The first material increases in size in response to an applied electric or magnetic field and returns to its prior size upon removal of the applied electric or magnetic field. The first and second members are mechanically coupled together such that the increase in size of the first material applies a stress to the elastocaloric material and the return of the first material to its prior size releases said stress, thereby causing the elastocaloric material to absorb heat.

  • Publication number: 20230349835
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for synthesizing a diamond using a diamond synthesis machine. A processor receives a plurality of images of a diamond during synthesis within a diamond synthesis machine, each of the plurality of images captured within a time period. The processor executes a diamond state prediction machine learning model using the plurality of images to obtain a predicted data object, the predicted data object indicating a predicted state of the diamond within the diamond synthesis machine at a time subsequent to the time period. The processor detects a predicted defect, a number of defects, defect types, and/or sub-features of such defects and/or other characteristics (e.g., a predicted shape, size, and/or other properties of predicted contours for the diamond and/or pocket holder) of the predicted state of the diamond. The processor adjusts operation of the diamond synthesis machine.
