Abstract: A method for configuring a surgical guide and an associated implant. The implant and surgical guide are for maxillofacial osteosynthesis. Three-dimensional models of the pre- and post-operative anatomy are used to define attachment points. These attachment points are used to determine a structure for the implant and surgical guide.

Abstract: Systems and methods for planning delivery of an object via a catheter, such as transseptal delivery of a prosthetic mitral valve to a patient's heart are disclosed.
Abstract: Certain aspects relate to a two-part surgical guide system for use in surgical procedures such as osteotomies. Certain aspects provide a first part including a contact surface configured to conform to a portion of an anatomy of the patient to substantially restrict movement of the first part with respect to the anatomy of the patient. The first part further includes guiding elements configured to receive reference pins and guide placement of the reference pins in the anatomy of the patient. Certain aspects further provide a second part, separate from the first part. The second part includes apertures. Each aperture is configured to receive a reference pin and substantially restrict movement of the second part with respect to the anatomy of the patient. The second part further includes a functional element for guiding a procedure on the anatomy of the patient.
Abstract: Systems and methods of fluid or air passageway cross-sectional area determination in an anatomy are disclosed. In some examples, the methods may include generating a model of a structure based on a plurality of images of the structure, the structure comprising at least one fluid or air flow path. In some examples, the methods may also include identifying an obstruction element in the model of the structure, the obstruction element affecting the at least one fluid or air flow path in the model. In some examples, the methods may also include determining a region of the at least one fluid or air flow path for flow analysis.
Abstract: Systems and methods of valve quantification are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method of mitral valve quantification is provided. The method includes generating a 3-D heart model, defining a 3-D mitral valve annulus, fitting a plane through the 3-D mitral valve annulus, measuring the distance between at least two papillary muscle heads, defining an average diameter of at least one cross section around the micro valve annulus, and determining a size of an implant to be implanted.

Abstract: A system and method for automatically reducing rigid body motion in a digital simulated model of an object, where the simulated model represents a simulated build of the object using additive manufacturing.
Abstract: Embodiments of this application relate to connectors configured for coupling to a hollow structure, for joining hollow structures together, and/or for joining a hollow structure to a functional element. A connector may be configured to couple to one or more hollow structures, and may be further configured to couple to one or more functional elements. Exemplary connectors comprise a shell and a plug.
