Abstract: An epoxy resin composition for use in producing a prepreg for printed wiring boards excellent in appearance, flame retardancy, etc., which comprises an epoxy resin, a phenolic novolak, and a curing accelerator. It is characterized in that the epoxy resin comprises an epoxy (a) and an epoxy (b), wherein the epoxy (a) is a brominated epoxy resin which is obtained by reacting/mixing a bisphenol A epoxy resin with tetrabromobisphenol A and has an epoxy equivalent of 350 to 470 g/eq and an n=0 component content of 20 to 35% in terms of areal percentage in a GPC chart, and the epoxy (b) is at least one bifunctional epoxy resin which is obtained by reacting any one selected from the group consisting of bisphenol A, bisphenol F, and tetrabromobisphenol A with epichlorohydrin and has an n=0 component content as determined from a GPC chart of 60% or higher.

Abstract: An infrared sensor switch of the invention comprises an infrared sensor with a detection range, and a controller that uses the sensor to try to detect whether or not a person is present in the detection range and controls an ON or OFF state of a corresponding load unit based on each detection result obtained from the sensor. The switch further comprises a sensor block comprising the sensor, and a housing that is mounted in a wall and retains the block so that the center axis of the detection range can be rotated about a horizontal axis and as well as rotated up to at least 40 degrees downward from a forward direction of 0 degrees.
Abstract: An epoxy resin composition for a prepreg used in manufacturing a printed wiring board, particularly a multilayered printed wiring board, is provided. The composition features: (A) a multifunctional epoxy resin having on average 2.8 or more epoxy groups per molecule; (B) a reaction product of a phosphorous compound, a bifunctional epoxy resin, and an optional multifunctional epoxy resin, provided in an amount of 20% to 55% by mass, based on the total amount of epoxy resin, including (A) and (B); (C) a curing agent of dicyandiamide and/or a multifunctional phenolic compound; and (D) an inorganic filler blend containing an inorganic filler with a thermal decomposition temperature of 400° C. or above. The composition does not generate toxic substances when combusted and has excellent ignition resistance, solder heat resistance after moisture absorption, and high temperature rigidity.
Abstract: In order to suppress cost of an initial investment by a user and running cost to the user to a low extent while substantially constantly maintaining an apparent illuminance, and further, to realize resource saving, in a case of using a fluorescent lamp FHF 32 as a discharge lamp La, a lamp supply power is started to be supplied from a value lower than 45 W as rated electric power at an initial period of an operation of the discharge lamp, a light adjustment signal is changed in response to an accumulated lighting time so that the lamp supply power can be a value higher than 45 W as the rated electric power on and after a rated lifetime of the discharge lamp La, whereby the lamp supply power (output of an inverter circuit 2) is adjusted.
Abstract: An insulating structure is employed between conductive members of an electric device. The electric device has a housing accommodating electric components therein and a cover member covering the housing, the conductive members being disposed through communication holes of the housing and the cover member. The insulating structure includes contact prevention members for preventing water infiltrated into a gap between the housing and the cover member from contacting water collected in the communication holes for the conductive members, wherein the contact prevention members are interposed between the housing and the cover member. Each contact prevention member has a substantially annular shape, surrounding one of the conductive members.
Abstract: An anomaly monitoring device includes two neural networks which are switchable between a training mode by using training samples and a checking mode for classifying, based on a training result, whether an amount of characteristics obtained by an operation of an apparatus indicates that the operation of an apparatus is normal and a mode switching unit controlling one of the neural networks to operate in training mode and the other neural network to operate in the checking mode. Further, the anomaly monitoring device includes a switching determining unit computing a judgment evaluation value serving to evaluate reliability of a judgment result of the other neural network operating in the checking mode, and for instructing the mode switching unit to have the one of the neural networks operate in the checking mode and the other neural network operate in training mode when the judgment evaluation value does not meet evaluation criteria.

Abstract: In an organic power generating device that generates electricity by receiving light, a positive electrode and a negative electrode, at least one of which has transparency, a power generating layer which is formed of a mixture of an electron donor material and a hole donor material and generates electricity upon reception of light and disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and an inorganic layer which has a work function larger than that of the positive electrode and is disposed between the power generating layer and the positive electrode, are provided. Accordingly, an efficiency to take off electric charges from the power generating layer can be increased, so that the organic power generating device with high efficiency and long life can be obtained.

Abstract: A light-emitting device held on a fixture body includes an LED chip, a heat transfer plate made of a thermally conductive material on which the LED chip is mounted, a wiring board having, on one side, patterned conductors, for supplying an electric power to the LED chip and formed with an aperture (exposure part) through which a LED chip mount surface of the heat transfer plate is exposed, an encapsulation part in which the LED chip is encapsulated on the one side of the wiring board, and a dome-shaped color-changing member made of a fluorescent material and an optically transparent material and placed on the one side of the wiring board. The light-emitting device is bonded to the fixture body with an insulating layer interposed therebetween, and the insulating layer has electrical insulating properties and is interposed between the heat transfer plate and the fixture body to thermally couple the same.
Abstract: Flush toilet equipment comprises a bowl, a flush mechanism that supplies flush water to the bowl through a flush water passage, and a minute bubble generator. The minute bubble generator generates minute bubbles. The bubbles are 0.1-1000 ?m in bubble diameter and mixed with the flush water. Abstract: A compact valve using a shape memory alloy comprises: a moving valve body that contacts an inner periphery of a guide pipe having an built-in orifice, is freely movable and has a sealing portion to seal the orifice; a biasing coil provided between the orifice and the moving valve body; and a wire formed of a shape memory alloy and held between a stationary electrode of the guide pipe and a moving electrode of the moving valve body. The orifice is sealed by moving the moving valve body due to transformation of the shape memory alloy by heating the wire. The moving valve body is enabled to be elastically deformable by providing a coil spring to reduce a stress, so that an overload to the moving valve body due to contraction of the wire is absorbed by elastic deformation of the moving valve body. Thereby, the overload to the shape memory alloy is reduced to prevent deterioration of repeatability of memorized shape, to increase durability and reliability of the valve.

Abstract: A vehicle seat may include a seat back that has a back frame, a cushion pad attached to the back frame, and a massaging unit having a plurality of massaging elements. The cushion pad has a plurality of through bores that pass therethrough in the direction of thickness thereof. The massaging elements are constructed so as to be elastically deformed or compressed along moving axes and to be pneumatically expanded and contracted along the moving axes. The massaging elements are disposed in the through bores in a manner that the moving axes of the massaging elements extend along longitudinal axes of the through bores. The massaging elements have deformability or compressibility identical with or greater than the deformability or compressibility of the cushion pad when the massaging elements are not operated.

Abstract: An electrodeless discharge lamp is provided which prevents the problem of decrease in strength due to degradation of resin material, allowing secure fitting of a lamp part and a coupler member to a base even if it is used for a long time. A bulb containing a discharge gas and a coupler member for generating a high frequency electromagnetic field to excite the bulb are detachably fitted to each other via a base for fixing and supporting the bulb. The bulb and the base form a lamp part. The base comprises a base frame formed of a metal such as aluminum and a base cover formed e.g. of synthetic resin. The base frame has a coupler member fitting portion which is provided at a lower part thereof and fitted to the coupler member, wherein bulb fixing posts provided to stand on the coupler member fitting portion fix a bulb outer tube. Thus, the fitting portions of the lamp part and the coupler member to the base undergo less material degradation than a conventional one which uses a base of resin material.

Abstract: A hair dryer having a static atomizing device, which has the capability of generating an electrostatically charged microparticle mist of 3 nm to 100 nm. The static atomizing device has a pair of an atomizing electrode and a counter electrode, a tank for storing a liquid such as water; a liquid transport member for transport water from the tank to the atomizing electrode according to capillary phenomenon, and a voltage applying unit. When a high voltage is applied between the atomizing electrode and the counter electrode, while water being supplied to the atomizing electrode through the liquid transport member, the electrostatically charged microparticle mist is generated.
