Abstract: The circuit breaker comprises main contacts 26, 30 and a vacuum cartridge 38 in parallel which performs breaking, the assembly being contained in an enclosure 10 filled with sulphur hexafluoride. The cartridge is designed for dielectric withstand in this gas. The contacts of the cartridge 38 are made of high resistive material and a coil generates an axial magnetic field in the arcing zone.
Abstract: For a preset period following application of a closing order, the semi-conductor of the static power switch, supplied with DC voltage, is controlled by a regulating circuit so as to operate as a current generator limiting the current to a value much lower than its rated value. A fuse acts as measuring shunt. The switch can comprise a circuit breaker function. In this case, the fault detection circuit measures the voltage at the terminals of the semi-conductor and supplies an opening signal when this voltage exceeds a preset threshold.

Abstract: An operating mechanism of a three-position switch having a contact-bearing main shaft comprises a switch closing and opening operation device, and an earthing device closing and opening operating device. The two devices comprise driving flange plates connected by a common spring capable of being loaded by rotation of either of the operating shafts and transmitting, after the deadpoint has been reached, a drive movement of these flange plates transmitted by articulated levers to a crank handle wedged onto the main shaft. All the operations are high-speed and the torque transmitted to the main shaft increases in the course of the operating movement. A locking device maintains the main shaft in the open position during the loading phase of the spring.

Abstract: The monitoring system of the conduction of a low voltage A.C. mains system comprises at least one measuring module creating a D.C. current component between two mains system conductors. The measuring module computes a value representative of the line resistance of the mains system which is proportional to the ratio between the measurement of the D.C. component of the voltage at its terminals and the measurement of the D.C. component of a voltage at the terminals of a resistor through which the D.C. current flows. An increase in this measured value indicates a loss of conduction and, therefore, such an increase is detected and indicated as soon as it exceeds a preset thereshold. A servo module delimits, may also be provided for delimiting the portion of the mains system to be monitored enabling looping of the D.C. current component and regulating the D.C. component of the voltage at its terminals to zero.
Abstract: An electrical switchgear cabinet comprises a frame, formed by uprights and switchgear support rails, which is fixed to props securedly united to a back plate. The sides of the back plate are folded forwards over a limited height smaller than the distance between the rails and the back plate, so as to define with the ends of these rails, trunkings for the cables to run facilitating connection to the switchgear. The back plate bears two blanking plates which extend over the whole width of the cabinet and an enclosure can be fitted on the sides to cover the frame and the switchgear supported by this frame. The props serve the purpose of fixing the uprights and enclosure and comprise lateral flanges enabling the back plate to be fixed to the wall. These lateral flanges comprise a guide for the bit for drilling the holes in the wall and a device to make up for drilling deviations.

Abstract: Insulation monitoring of a direct current power supply system is achieved by application of an alternating current and the detector is constituted by a current transformer and a Hall-effect current sensor. This Hall-effect sensor controls a direct current generator, which supplies a compensation winding of the current transformer, so as to prevent saturation of the toroid of this current transformer. When a ground fault occurs, the alternating current generator generates a fault current detected by the transformer.
