Abstract: An emitter assembly of low-power electromagnetic signals with random or pseudo-random frequency variation is located inside an electromagnetic shield to be monitored. These signals are detected by at least one synchronous detection receiver located outside the shield, a second transmission channel, preferably constituted by an optic fiber, connecting the emitter and receiver assemblies to enable synchronous detection of signals transmitted via an electromagnetic channel through the shield. The amplitude of the electromagnetic signals received by the detector is significant of the quality of the shielding.
Abstract: A digital isolation monitor comprises a signal processor operating in conjunction with a measuring circuit to perform a first no-load measurement and a second load measurement of a zero sequence signal delivery by a toroid of a differential transformer, followed by synchronous demodulation, A microcontroller computes the tangent of the angle of phase difference introduced by the toroid by computing the relationship between the load and no-load components, and determines the true values of the leakage resistance and stray capacitance of the power system.
Abstract: A production machine equipped with two walking beam lift and carry devices forming two parallel tracks, a main track and a branch track. Transfer of a part from the branch track to the main track is achieved by a handling unit synchronized with the walking beam.

Abstract: An inside of tubular contacts of a self-extinguishing expansion SF.sub.6 -gas circuit breaker including guiding ribs arranged to oppose any vortex-effect swirling gas flow between a first extinguishing chamber and a second expansion chamber. The presence of these ribs improves the dielectric withstand of the circuit breaker, and prevents any arc restriking inside the contacts.

Abstract: A limiting circuit breaker comprises an electrodynamic repulsion contact system, and an electromagnetic latch arranged in the vicinity of the contact system, and electrically insulated from the latter. Actuation of the latch to the active position results from the action of the electromagnetic field due to a short-circuit current flowing in the pole, so as to temporarily keep the movable contact open after repulsion. The latch is equipped with a pair of ferromagnetic brackets, and with a spring blade to return to an inactive position.

Abstract: The measuring device of the rms value of a signal comprises, in series, a full-wave rectifier, a low-pass filter, for example of the RC type, and a peak detector. The output signal of the device is representative of the rms value of the input signal, the cut-off frequency of the filter corresponding to an angular frequency comprised between 4.pi.f/6 and 4.pi.f/5.33, f being the fundamental frequency of the input signal of the device.
Abstract: A medium-voltage electrical switch comprises contacts actuated by a connecting rod and crank system. Parallel to the main contacts there is arranged an arcing circuit comprising a cylindrical electrode disposed inside a coil and whose internal surface cooperates with a movable arcing contact. The mechanical link connecting the main contact to the arcing contact comprises a crank and connecting rod system comprising a flexible part formed by an aperture and a spring providing the contact pressure of the arcing contacts. In the open position of the switch, the connecting rod extends perpendicular to the crank and the flexible part is neutralized so as to hold the movable arcing contact without clearance in the open position despite the electrodynamic forces acting on it.

Abstract: A rotating arc circuit breaker comprising a pair of separable arcing contacts, a coil to set the arc in rotation, and an annular migration electrode. Guiding fins are arranged in the extinguishing chamber to slow down the rotation of the gas in a first peripheral zone, so as to generate a differential speed between the arc and the gas favoring the heat exchange in the second zone close to the breaking gap.

Abstract: A modular cabinet including a plurality of battery modules each which can be withdrawn from the cabinet. The frame has a parallelipipedic-shaped metal framework, including a plinth of rectangular cross-section parallel to the different shelves, roller devices fixed to the base of the plinth to provide movement of the module in the depthwise direction between an inserted position and a withdrawn position, a first vertical front flange extending perpendicularly to the plinth, a second rear flange parallel to the first flange and shelves interposed in the depthwise between the flanges. A closed side plate connects the two flanges and the plinth, and a transverse free space is provided between the batteries and the open side face opposite the side plate. Movement of the module in translation to the withdrawn position enables all the batteries to be fully accessed via the open side face.

Abstract: A high-current multipole circuit breaker is made up of standard poles juxtaposed in a molded case. At least two adjacent poles are twinned, that is to say electrically arranged in parallel and connected to a common connecting strip. The connecting strips of the other poles are widened, so as to partially overlap the immediately adjacent twinned pole. In this way, the circuit breaker rating is higher than that of the individual poles which make it up.

Abstract: A current limiter comprises an extinguishing chamber 16 of small volume, in which there are housed a pair of contacts 28, 30 and an insulating shield 40, capable of moving to an active position inserted between the contacts 28, 30, and of subdividing the chamber 16 into two parts each of which contains one of the contacts 28, 30. The movement of the insulating shield 40 to the inserted position between the contacts 28, 30 is favored by the action of a piston 48 subjected to the pressure prevailing in the extinguishing chamber 16.

Abstract: The tripping adjustment range of a magnetic trip device with a plunger core is increased by providing, in the movable plunger core, a groove whose edges define polar surfaces bounding air-gaps with the edges of the yoke in such a way as to generate in the minimum adjustment position a force which is added to the attractive force of the movable core by the stationary core, and inversely a force in the maximum adjustment position which is subtracted from the attractive force of movable plunger core. The trip device excitation coil is offset with respect to the yoke to increase the adjustment range, and a return device with adjustable stop and decreasing return force as the movable core approaches the stationary core, contributes to increasing this tripping threshold adjustment range.
Abstract: A ground fault trip unit of the three-pole type, comprises a fourth conductor passing through the differential transformer. The fourth conductor is connected to terminals located on a different face from that of the terminals of the other three conductors. The same ground fault trip unit can be associated with a three-pole breaking device, in which case the fourth conductor is not used, and with a four-pole device whose fourth pole is connected to the fourth conductor of the ground fault trip unit.
