    Abstract: A weighing system for a rotary rail car dumper. The rotary rail car dumper includes a frame assembly that receives a rail car including contents to be weighed. A series of trunnions are positioned to rotatably support the frame assembly and allow the frame assembly to be rotated to dump the contents of the rail car. A weight gauge is positioned on each of the trunnions. The weight gauge generates a signal based upon the force applied to the respective trunnion by the weight of the frame assembly and rail car. In one embodiment, the weight gauges are a series of strain gauges that generate an electrical signal based upon the force applied to the strain gauge. A control unit receives the electrical signals from the strain gauges and determines the weight of the rail car before and after the contents of the rail car have been dumped.

    Abstract: A system and process for the recovery of oil from the pyrolysis of material containing hydrocarbons such as shredded vehicle tires. The system utilizes a pair of sequentially positioned packed towers to recover at least 95% of the oil contained in the pyrolysis gases. The first packed tower operates above the dew point of the water vapor in the pyrolysis gases to insure that no water is condensed and obtain a primary oil fraction having oil with a high flash point of about 60° C. or greater and a primary vapor fraction containing additional oils, fuel gases and water vapor. The primary vapor fraction is fed to the second packed tower which operates below the dew point of the water vapor to condense the water and oil having a low flash point of 34° C. or below, and provide a secondary vapor fraction containing valuable fuel gases.

The flow rate of hydraulic fluid remains unchanged, thereby increasing the hydraulic fluid flow rate provided to and the speed of the remaining hydraulic motors.

Using a realistic visual representation of a gear to pinion mesh showing pressure angles of the gear and pinion as well as the angle of the pinion down from the mill center line allows for a quick and accurate determination of a pinion bearing to align a pinion-to-gear assembly move. Using temperature differential data of the pinion under load conditions, the present invention allows for an easy and efficient means of determining a pinion bearing move to align a pinion-to-gear assembly without requiring complicated manual calculations or data input to a computer program. Furthermore, the present invention is lightweight and portable thereby avoiding the drawbacks often associated with handheld electrical devices and laptop computers.
