  • Patent number: 10639859
Abstract: A drum for building a green tire casing having: sectors that form a circumferential face of the drum, and at least one cam for controlling a radial movement of the sectors with respect to a rotation axis of the drum. The cam has two main faces and is designed such that a monotonous movement of the cam first of all causes the radial movement of some of the sectors by virtue of ramps situated on its first face without modifying a radial position of the other sectors, and then causes the radial movement of the other sectors by virtue of ramps situated on its second face, the movement of all of the sectors then being simultaneous.

  • Patent number: 10583481
Abstract: A part obtained by selective melting of a powder on a support plate, this part comprising a main element and rigid secondary elements, these secondary elements supporting the main element between a lower surface of this main element and the support plate. Secondary elements are intended to be detached from the main element. The lower surface of the main element thus comprises a first surface portion and at least one second surface portion, and the first surface portion makes, with the support plate, an angle ?1 of less than a predetermined value, and the second surface portion makes, with this support plate, an angle ?2 greater than or equal to this predetermined value. The first surface portion is therefore entirely supported by the secondary elements and the second surface portion is partially supported by the secondary elements. The predetermined value is between 20° and 30°.

  • Patent number: 10514321
Abstract: Systems and methods for improving the uniformity of a tire based on estimated process harmonic magnitudes for one or more process effects are provided. Magnitudes of process harmonics associated with one or more candidate process effects can be determined from the observed magnitudes of one or more harmonics of measured uniformity parameters. The estimated process harmonic magnitude(s) can be determined without requiring phase angle or azimuth information associated with the observed magnitudes. The estimated process harmonic magnitude(s) can be determined by identifying a process harmonic magnitude pattern for identified candidate process effects. A model can be constructed correlating the candidate magnitudes specified by the process harmonic magnitude pattern with observed magnitudes of corresponding harmonics of a measured uniformity waveform. Regression or programming techniques can be used to estimate coefficients associated with candidate magnitude terms in the model.

Each wall surface deliminates a cavity that intersects the contact face along a corner edge contour that has a geometry that has a major axis which is at least 1.5 times the length of a minor axis when new. For any tread surface down to a predefined wear level, the level is at most 30% of the wearable thickness of material EMU, and the angle between the major axis and the circumferential direction is between 0 and 40 degrees. After the wear level, the angle is greater than 40 degrees.

  • Patent number: 10413968
Abstract: The machine presents a working zone that is defined in an upper part of a build sleeve which is fixedly mounted in a chassis. Within the working zone, the object is supported by a build plate which slides inside the build sleeve when driven in vertical translation by the head of an actuating cylinder which is placed along a central axis of the sleeve. The build plate is positioned inside a transport container which is arranged removably between the sleeve and the actuating cylinder. The machine also includes a means for moving the transport container vertically into contact with the build sleeve. The container is open at its top and at its bottom so that, when the actuating cylinder is actuated, the head thereof can transfer the plate between the transport container and the build sleeve which forms a build envelope around the plate.
