Abstract: The present invention comprises a grasper arrangement having a pair of opposed, elongated, movable jaw members at a distal end of the grasper arrangement pinchably actuatable from a handle portion at a proximal end of the grasper arrangement. The jaw members each have a toothed insert attachably secured thereon. Each tooth insert has an array of teeth disposed thereon on a first side thereof. Each tooth insert has a securement arrangement on a second side thereof to securely engage the jaw member thereto. Each of the jaw members are of decreasing tapered thickness from a distal end thereof to a proximal end thereof.
Abstract: A clip applying device for the insertion and pinching of a medical clip within a mammalian body portion. The device comprises a housing supporting a proximal end of a delivery tube of the device. A pair of pinchable jaws are movably arranged at a distal end of the delivery tube. The device contains a plurality of preformed clips of a first width, the clips having leg portions, the clips also being movably disposed within the delivery tube between the housing and the jaws. A tool adjacent the jaws is arranged to enlarge the clips from a first width to a wider second width, as the clips emerge from the delivery tube.

Abstract: An elongated medical clip applying device having a handle grip assembly on a proximal end thereof and an elongated channel with a pair of squeezable jaws on a distal end thereof. A push rod arrangement is included having a distal end and a proximal end. The push rod arrangement is utilized for advancing a plurality of clips in a sequential manner between the jaws. The push rod includes a multiplier extender arrangement to increase the distance of travel of the distal end of the push rod arrangement a multiple of the distance of travel of the proximal or input end of the push rod arrangement.
Abstract: A medical clip applying device for crimping a clip onto a mammalian tissue. The clip applying device comprises a handle grip assembly having a handle and a pivotable trigger arranged onto the handle grip assembly. An elongated cartridge support channel is arranged onto a distal end of the handle grip assembly and extending through the handle grip assembly. A pair of jaws is pivotably arranged on a distal end of the elongated channel. A displacable cinch is arranged to slide onto and back from the pair of jaws to squeeze the jaws closed and to permit the jaws to bias open, respectively. A loading port is arranged on a proximal end of the handle grip assembly to permit the clip applying device to be loaded with a clip laden cartridge from the proximal end thereof.
