Abstract: An Antibiotic Complex AB-023 and its components: Antibiotic AB-023a and Abiotic AB-023b are disclosed, which are obtained by the controlled aerobic culture of Streptomyces sp. NCIMB 40212 in an aqueous nutrient culture substrate. Antibiotic AB-023 displays a biological activity against pathogen fungi which attack agricultural crops and man.

Abstract: Self-extinguishing polymeric compositions containing: a) from 90 to 40 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polymer, or a polymer having elastomeric properties and b) 10 to 60 parts by weight of one or more 2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-triazine compounds salified with an oxygenated acid of phosphorus, wherein at least one of the triamino substituents of the triazine compound are substituted with at least one of the following radicals ##STR1## wherein m=an integer between 2 and 8;p=an integer between 2 and 6;R.sub.8 =H; C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl; C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 alkenyl; C.sub.q H.sub.2q OR.sub.9 wherein q is an integer between 1 and 4 and R.sub.9 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl; C.sub.6 -C.sub.12 cycloalkyl or alkylcycloalkyl;R' is H; C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl; C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 alkenyl; C.sub.6 -C.sub.12 cycloalkyl or alkylcycloalkyl; C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 hydroxyalkyl, or ##STR2## is replaced by a heterocyclic radical bound to the alkyl chain through the nitrogen atom.

Abstract: Polymeric compositions endowed with high self-extinguishing characteristics hen exposed to a flame, based on thermoplastic polymers or polymers endowed with elastomeric properties, in particular olefinic polymers or copolymers comprising:(a) from 89 to 45 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polymer, or of a polymer, or of a polymer endowed with elastomeric properties;(b) from 8 to 30 parts by weight of one or more ammonium or amine phosphate(s) and/or phosphonate(s);(c) from 3 to 25 parts by weight of one or more compound(s) derivatives of 2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-triazine, having the general formula (I): ##STR1##

Abstract: A process for producing the precursor of a precipitated catalyst for the sub.3 synthesis, based on Fe, Al, Co and K oxides, which comprises the steps of:(A) preparing an aqueous solution of water-soluble compounds of Fe, Al and Co--adding iron as a water-soluble ferrous salt of an organic acid--and causing, by addition of an alkaline precipitating solution, the co-precipitation of the corresponding (Fe, Al and Co) hydroxides, which still contain iron in the ferrous form;(B) oxidizing the hydroxide suspension prepared according to point (A) until divalent iron and trivalent iron are in a ratio to each other which ranges from 0.20 to 0.50;(C) operating an alkaline doping with a potassium compound and heating in an inert atmosphere up to above 850.degree. C.
