  • Patent number: 7604706
Abstract: An initial resin substrate is formed by laminating resin layers, and one surface of the initial substrate is heated and pressed by a molding die to mold a projected and dented surface such that substantially no deformation occurs on the resin layer providing a surface opposed to the one surface of the initial substrate. A reversible image display medium is produced by a method comprising the steps of accommodating a dry developer into the concavities and fixing a second substrate to the first substrate using an adhesive. Alternatively a reversible image display medium may be produced by, e.g.

  • Patent number: 7593123
Abstract: In order to carry out a printing operation without waiting for a while in the case in which a printing device receiving printing job data cannot execute the printing operation for some reason, a plurality of printing devices (100) which are network-connected are formed into groups based on a processable language and one of the printing devices belonging to the same language group is caused to act as a managing printing device. The managing printing device receives a status signal from all the printing devices belonging to the same language group, and distributes the printing job data transmitted from the printing device to the other printing devices belonging to the same language group when any of the printing devices cannot carry out the printing operation. In this case, one printing device for supporting a plurality of languages can be set as a managing printing device which is common to each group.

  • Patent number: 7559214
Abstract: An optical element manufacturing method has a preparation step of preparing a lower mold and an upper mold. The lower mold has an outer shape restricting surface for the optical element. A reference surface formation step of forms a positioning reference surface on a rim of the optical element by heating the outer shape restricting surface of the lower mold and dropping molten glass onto the lower mold surface so as to collide with the lower mold surface and spread to be in contact with the outer shape restricting surface. A pressing step forms the two opposed optical function surfaces of the optical element by pressing the glass. A temperature of the outer shape restricting surface in the reference surface formation step and the pressing step is higher than a temperature which is 100° C. less than a glass transition temperature (° C.) of the glass.

  • Patent number: 7557942
Abstract: Recipient information is allocated to a transmission box in the image processing apparatus based on the header information in the e-mail sent from the external terminal. Scanned image data is stored and linked to the same transmission box. Subsequently, based on the recipient information, the image data is sent to the recipient as an attachment to an e-mail addressed to the recipient. Because the recipient information and the image data are linked via the transmission box, it is not necessary to simultaneously designate the recipient and input the image data. Therefore, the operation panel of the image processing apparatus need not be occupied for a long period of time.

  • Patent number: 7542086
Abstract: In a solid-state image-sensing device, when an image sensing operation is performed in each pixel, a MOS transistor T1 is turned on and a MOS transistor T4 is turned off to make a MOS transistor T2 operate in a subthreshold region. When a reset operation is performed in each pixel, the MOS transistor T1 is turned off and the MOS transistor T4 is turned on to feed a constant voltage to the gate and drain of the MOS transistor T2. Then, the MOS transistor T4 is turned off, then the voltage at the node “a” is reset, and then a pulse signal ?V is fed to a MOS transistor T5 to obtain an output. By using the thus obtained output as compensation data, variations in sensitivity among individual pixels are reduced.
