    Abstract: The present invention discloses a route guiding system and a method thereof. The route guiding system in accordance with the present invention determines whether a user is approaching a crossway point based on the user's current position. In case the user is determined to approach a crossway point, other crossway points having a road connecting to this crossway point and scenic spots along such crossway points are searched from the electronic map. Finally, such roads connecting to these crossway points and relevant information concerning these scenic spots are displayed. In this fashion, the user can move randomly for promenade along the streets according to the scenic spot information displayed on the route guiding system without specifically setting any destination.

    Abstract: A method applied to a mobile device having a GPS receiver having access to a network interface is disclosed. When transmitting via the network interface a first command to edit a user location information on the network interface based on a first geo-information from the GPS receiver to update location information displayed on a website, a destination list stored in the mobile device is updated with transmission destination network address and current GPS receiver location information. Stored location information is periodically compared to current GPS receiver locations and when determined that the GPS receiver has moved at least a predetermined distance from the location stored in the destination list, the method transmits via the network interface a second command to edit a user location information on the network interface based on a second geo-information from the GPS receiver to the website to update or invalidate displayed location information.

At least one of a plurality of keywords predetermined in a database is selected and a priority score of the selected keyword is updated and a weighted factor is generated for the selected keyword. A weighted score and the weighted factor of the selected keyword are transmitted to the keywords related to the selected keyword. The selected keyword is pushed to a keyword buffer and linkage strengths between the keywords in the keyword buffer are strengthened. When a keyword has been stored in the keyword buffer for over a predetermined reset time period, a reset operation is performed to remove the keyword from the keyword buffer.

At least one suggested route is generated for the user to follow using route software of the portable electronic device according to the selected disaster type and the current location of the portable electronic device. Navigation instructions are then provided for guiding the user on the suggested route in order to avoid the selected disaster type.
