    Abstract: Disclosed aspects relate to managing a group of geometric objects. The group of geometric objects are correlated to a set of spatial zones associated with an architectural layout. A first geometric object of the group of geometric objects is detected. The first geometric object has a first geometric object size value. By comparing the first geometric object size value with a threshold geometric object size value, it is determined to convert the first geometric object. Based on proximity, a group of conversion candidates is identified from the group of geometric objects. Based on the first geometric object and the group of conversion candidates, a second geometric object is determined using a geometric criterion. Using the second geometric object, a design-model of the architectural layout is established.

    Abstract: A hanger bracket for mounting a skewed beam at a junction of two adjacent beams includes a supporting section configured to support the skewed beam. Fixing flanges substantially perpendicular to the supporting section are configured for attaching the bracket to the adjacent beams along surfaces of the fixing flanges positioned to engage respective ones of the adjacent beams when attached thereto. The surfaces define planes that are non-parallel and non-coincident with each other. Reinforcing faces are located between the supporting section and each of the fixing flanges. The reinforcing faces are inclined relative to the supporting section and fixing flanges. Holes in at least one of the supporting section and the reinforcing faces are configured to receive fasteners to secure the skewed beam to the hanger bracket.

In some embodiments, all welds used to form the gusset plate assembly are made in the horizontal welding position. Movement of the column to different positions can be achieved by rotation about its longitudinal axis.

    Abstract: A dovetail anchoring system for cavity walls is disclosed and includes a sheetmetal dovetail anchor and one-piece sheetmetal dovetail veneer tie. A thermally-isolating coating is optionally applied to the high-strength veneer tie, which is interconnected with the wall anchor. The thermally-isolating coating is selected from a distinct grouping of materials, that are applied using a specific variety of methods, in one or more layers and cured and cross-linked to provide high-strength adhesion. The thermally-coated veneer ties provide an in-cavity thermal break that severs the thermal threads running throughout the cavity wall structure, reducing the U- and K-values of the anchoring system by thermally-isolating the metal components.
