  • Patent number: 4742892
Abstract: In an elevator control system employing a variable-voltage and variable-frequency control, a control apparatus having limiter for limiting the maximum value of a slip frequency .omega..sub.s when the frequency .omega..sub.0 of current command values to be delivered to an inverter circuit for operating an induction motor is evaluated in accordance with a condition formula of .omega..sub.0 =.omega..sub.s +.omega..sub.4 (where .omega..sub.r denotes the angular rotational frequency of the induction motor), whereby an actual car speed can be limited to a safe low value even when the detected car speed is erroneous due to a malfunction of the car speed detection device. Also, the time period during which the generated slip frequency command signal exceeds a reference value is measured to determine the current frequency command signal for the induction motor.

  • Patent number: 4743843
Abstract: A display signal generator device which allows the pulse width of a digital signal to be constant and the pulse repetition period to be proportional to the analog amount of an input signal so as to produce a signal to be displayed even by an analog or digital display unit 7 or 6, thereby obtaining a digital/analog common signal of average value proportional to the frequency even with the pulse signal. In order to maintain the pulse width constant, only a monostable multivibrator is, for example, added, thereby providing an inexpensive display signal generator device.

  • Patent number: 4741802
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a semiconductor device comprises the steps of forming a trench (2) on the major surface of a semiconductor substrate (1) and depositing a polysilicon film (5) on the entire surface of the semiconductor substrate (1) including the inside of said trench (2). In order to form complete isolation in the bottom portion of the trench (2), the trench (2) is filled with an oxide film (10). A refractory metal (12) such as tungsten which can be selectively deposited on polysilicon is deposited only on the polysilicon film (5) on the major surface of the semiconductor substrate (1). The oxide (10) inside the trench (2) removed and then, anisotropic etching of the polysilicon film (5) in the bottom portion of the trench (2) is performed utilizing the refractory metal (12) as a mask, so that isolation is formed in a self-aligning manner. thereafter, an oxide film (13) and a polysilicon film (14) are formed successively, so that three-dimensional charge storage capacitance is achieved.

  • Patent number: 4741415
Abstract: Three pairs of reversed polarity thyristors 20a,21a; 24a,25a; 28c,29c are connected directly between the three phases R, S, T of an AC power source and the corresponding phases of an elevator drive motor 5. The two pairs connected to the R and S phases implement upward driving, and the third pair connected to the T phase is used for both upward and downward driving but is held non-conductive during regenerative braking/deceleration when the motor operates in a two phase mode. Two additional thyristor pairs 22b,23b; 26b,27b which are used for downward driving are cross-connected between the R and S power source phases and two of the motor phases, to thus reverse the direction of motor rotation. Different individual thyristors in the pairs coupled to the R and S phases are selected in upward and downward deceleration modes. The overall circuit arrangement and firing selection/control scheme is designed to implement load sharing between the various thyristors and thus minimize duty cycle differences.

  • Patent number: 4742430
Abstract: A sewing machine control box mounted on a non-operative end of a sewing machine frame, and including a partition board which divides the control box into first and second chambers. A transformer which gives off heat in operation is provided in a first chamber, and a printed circuit board which otherwise might be damaged by the heat generated by the transformer is provided in a second chamber. The dividing of the control box into these first and second chambers prevents excessive heat transfer from the transformer to the printed circuit board during operation of the sewing machine.

  • Patent number: 4742452
Abstract: A computer system, such as a microprocessor-based computer system, which includes a program supervisory device for interrupting operations of the central processing unit of the computer system at any designated address, even in a case where the central processing unit has an instruction advance reading function. The interrupt address is stored in a register. A comparator outputs a coincidence signal when the interrupt address coincides with the current address supplied to the system memory. At that time, a multiplexer disposed in the system data bus disconnects the central processing unit from the memory and reconnects it via the system data bus to a register in which there has been prestored an interrupt or other instruction.

  • Patent number: 4742227
Abstract: A mobile type inspection apparatus for monitoring conditions in an environment or a facility containing radiation and a high temperature has a radiation dosage detector, a temperature detector, and a moisture detector disposed on a movable vehicle. Signals representing the monitored conditions are transmitted to a remote receiver which is included in a control system for operating the inspection apparatus and which has monitors for monitoring the conditions. Signals representing radiation dosage are supplied to a monitor and also to a comparison circuit for comparing radiation resistance limit data for the detectors which is stored in a memory with the detected data so as to generate a device exchange request when the accumulated radiation dosage exceeds the limit of any one of the devices. In a second embodiment, signals representing temperature and moisture are used for monitoring and also to calculate reaction acceleration and using time of the detectors to determine degree of deterioration thereof.

  • Patent number: 4742250
Abstract: A main potential generating circuit 11a receives AC voltage from a first AC power supply 40 and charges a substrate potential output terminal 9 with a prescribed potential. On the other hand, a reference potential generating circuit 11b receives AC voltage from a pulse generating circuit 3 as a second AC power supply and charges a reference potential point 9b with a prescribed potential. A differential amplifying circuit 20 detects difference between the potential of the substrate potential output terminal 9 and the potential of the reference potential point 9b and only when the difference is detected, it operates the first AC power supply 40 to charge the substrate potential output terminal 9.
