    Abstract: The present invention provides a technology for recovering high-content tantalum from tantalum-containing waste with reducing various impurities such as antimony (Sb) and phosphorus (P) which hinder reuse of the tantalum in tantalum capacitors. The method for recovering tantalum from tantalum-containing waste according to the present invention is characterized in that tantalum-containing waste is subjected to an acid treatment and then to an alkali treatment, thereby recovering tantalum. The acid treatment is preferably performed with use of an acid containing hydrochloric acid and the alkali treatment is preferably performed with use of sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide. The tantalum-containing waste in the present invention is preferably a tantalum sintered compact collected from a tantalum capacitor.

    Abstract: Provided is a large-size injection molded article which is obtained by injection molding a composition containing a heat-meltable fluoropolymer. It is a preferable aspect that the composition including a heat-meltable fluoropolymer is a composition containing a melt moldable tetrafluoroethylene/fluoroalkoxytrifluoroethylene copolymer having an MFR over 60 g/10 minutes.

A 4-methyl-1-pentene-based polymer obtained by polymerization using the catalyst of the present invention is excellent in tacticity, transparency, heat resistance, and releasability, and the polymer is particularly suitable for a release film.

    Abstract: A transformant is prepared to insert at least a gene expression cassette comprising a gene involved in the synthesis of 2-deoxy-scyllo-inosose into E. coli as host cells. A 2-deoxy-scyllo-inosose is synthesized from D-glucose, oligosaccharide, polysaccharide, starch and rice bran, using the transformant. A culture solution containing the 2-deoxy-scyllo-inosose is treated with a mixed bed or double bed type column comprising a hydrogen form of strong acidic cation exchange resin and an organic ion form of basic anion exchange resin. The 2-deoxy-scyllo-inosose as purified is reacted with trimethoxymethane to convert into 2-deoxy-scyllo-inosose dimethylketal, and the dimethylketal is crystallized and purified. Then, DOI is highly purified through hydrolyzing the dimethylketal in the presence of acid.
