Patent number: 12141998Abstract: An electronic device, a method and a computer program product for automatic camera adjustments based on eye gaze tracking. The method includes capturing, via a front facing camera, an image stream containing a face of a user and determining, via a processor, an eye gaze direction of the user based on an image retrieved from the image stream. The eye gaze direction corresponds to a location on a display where the user is looking. The method further includes mapping the location on the display to a region of interest (ROI) for focusing a rear facing camera and generating camera settings of the rear facing camera based on the ROI. The method further includes adjusting the rear facing camera using the generated camera settings such that the rear facing camera focuses on the ROI.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 2022Date of Patent: November 12, 2024Assignee: Motorola Mobility LLCInventors: Amit Kumar Agrawal, Rahul Bharat Desai

Patent number: 12142289Abstract: An adaptive echo cancellation system introduces an acoustic reference signal to audio content being transmitted to the speaker for playback. The acoustic reference signal is an out-of-band signal, such as an ultrasonic signal, which is typically not audible to humans. The microphone of the mobile device receives the audio content played back by the speaker as well as audio content introduced by the user (e.g., the speech of the user). The adaptive echo cancellation system detects the acoustic reference signal and determines a time delay between when the acoustic reference signal was introduced to the audio content and when the audio content including the acoustic reference signal was received by the mobile device. Echo is cancelled from the received audio content based on this determined time delay.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2022Date of Patent: November 12, 2024Assignee: Motorola Mobility LLCInventors: Seungho Kim, Joseph C. Patent number: 12135587Abstract: An electronic device, method, and computer program product provide a predictable external finger area on a “rollable display device” for fingerprint authentication that is available at least in both a fully retracted position and fully extended position. The electronic device selectively operates a translation mechanism to slide a blade assembly relative to a device housing between the fully retracted position and the fully extended position. The blade assembly has a blade slidably coupled to a device housing and having a flexible display attached to the blade. The blade assembly has first and second fingerprint-on-display (FOD) areas that are optically transmissive, enabling light to pass through the blade assembly. While retracted, both fingerprint scanners are aligned FOD areas for use while looking at either the front or back portions of the flexible display. While extended, the front fingerprint scanner is aligned with the second FOD area while viewing the flexible display.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2023Date of Patent: November 5, 2024Assignee: Motorola Mobility LLCInventors: Amit Kumar Agrawal, Boby Iyer, Matthew Deheck

Publication number: 20240362637Abstract: Techniques for managing data transactions are described and are implementable to enable data transactions (e.g., payment transactions) to be automatically generated in response to different conditions. In implementations, user interactions to generate payment transactions are tracked at different locations over different time durations. Accordingly, when payment transactions at a particular location reach a threshold, a data transaction record can be generated. The data transaction record can be used to automatically generate subsequent data transactions. Further, application presence across different devices can be used to generate data transactions.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 28, 2023Publication date: October 31, 2024Applicant: Motorola Mobility LLCInventors: Hariprasad Shanbhogue Alampady, Amit Kumar Agrawal, Bhavana Bhat

Patent number: 12132854Abstract: An electronic device includes one or more sensors detecting an energy storage level of an energy storage device falling below a predefined threshold. A location detector and a motion detector determine whether the electronic device is positioned at a location trusted by an authorized user or whether the electronic device is being transported by a mode of transport trusted by the authorized user. The one or more processors identify foreground applications operating on the electronic device and non-essential services associated with the foreground applications. The one or more processors restrict the non-essential services from occurring when the energy storage level of the energy storage device is below the predefined threshold unless the electronic device is positioned at the trusted location or is being transported by the trusted mode of transport.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 2021Date of Patent: October 29, 2024Assignee: Motorola Mobility LLCInventors: Jyothsna Bandameedipalli, Amit Kumar Agrawal
