    Abstract: A gas sensor network system provides near real-time monitoring of fugitive emissions of VOC compounds in chemical plants and facilities. The present disclosure provides a sensor placement method which determines where to place sensors within a facility. The sensor placement method includes obtaining plant layout, gas composition, meteorological conditions and/or other types of information regarding a facility, determining the types of gas and ancillary sensors needed, and generating the minimum detection distances required based on the sensitivities of the sensors to the gas compounds involved. And, then calculating the minimal number of sensors required for each sensor type with optimized sensor locations to ensure best coverage of potentially leaking components within the facility.

    Abstract: An optical fiber assembly has a first ferrule assembly and a second ferrule assembly. Each ferrule assembly has a ferrule body, a plurality of optical fiber receiving bores, and an array of optical elements. One of array of optical elements has a plurality of data lens elements and a cross-focusing indicator lens element. Another of the array of optical elements has a plurality of data lens elements and a mirror system configured to reflect light from the indicator lens element. Upon mating the first and second ferrule assemblies, light from the indicator lens element is primarily reflected back to an output lens element by the mirror system. Upon only partially mating the first and second ferrule assemblies, light from the indicator lens element is not primarily reflected back by the mirror system to the output lens element.

    Abstract: To provide a connector that is compact and reliable and can easily be produced, in addition to achieving narrow spacing between protruding parts having a plurality of terminals mounted thereto. Such a connector is therefore provided that includes half body parts, each of which includes a connector main body and a plurality of terminals mounted to the connector main body, and a main body end part formed on each end of the connector main body with the connector main bodies of the half body parts opposite each other. The connector main body is an integrated member and includes a protruding part that extends in the longitudinal direction thereof and holds the terminals, along with an embedded part connected to each end in the longitudinal direction of the protruding part. The main body end part includes a cover part that covers at least part of the embedded part of the connector main body. The cover part is a member integrated with the embedded part.

A mating groove is formed between the metal outer shell and the insulative base and is used to allow the mating plate to mate therewith. One of the insulative base and the metal outer shell is provided with a protruding member and when the cable-end connector reversely inserts into the board-end connector, the protruding member stops the front end portion of the mating plate.

The shield seal prevents high-pressure spray from directly contacting the mat seal.

A soft etching step may be included. A solder resist application step can be added, along with an associated solder resist removal step.
