Abstract: A method for enabling selective field expansion in an electronically displayed table is provided. The method includes rendering at least a portion of the electronic table on a display, the electronic table including a plurality of cells, each cell associated with a unique row and column combination, wherein the rendered portion of the electronic table includes a plurality of cells including at least one edge cell containing information; receiving a user input indicating a direction away from the edge cell; in response to the user input, rendering the edge cell with a width wider than a default width to thereby display more information in the wider width than was displayed in the default width; and upon termination of the user input, rendering the edge cell with the default width.

Abstract: A system and method for generating advertisements based on matching user metadata, including: associating a user generated content (UGC) with creator metadata and content metadata, wherein at least a portion of the UGC is generated by a first user associated with the creator metadata, wherein the creator metadata is based on information received from a user device of the creator and content metadata is based on the UGC; generating an advertisement based on the creator metadata and the content metadata; accessing user metadata associated with a second user; generating a match score between the user metadata and the creator metadata; matching between the user metadata and the creator metadata when the match score exceeds a predetermined threshold; and causing the generated advertisement to be displayed on a matching second user device associated with the second user.

Abstract: A system and method for generating tagged column-oriented data structures, including: generating a column-oriented data structure that comprises a plurality of columns, wherein each column comprises a plurality of cells that are associated with a single data type, wherein at least one of the plurality of columns is a tag type column; and inserting at least one tag into a first cell of the tag type column, where the first cell further associated with a first row of cells.

Abstract: A system and method for generating a column-oriented data structure repository for columns of single data types. The method includes: receiving instructions to generate a new column of a single data type for a first data structure, wherein the first data structure is a column oriented data structure; and storing, based on the instructions, the new column within the column-oriented data structure repository, wherein the column-oriented data structure repository is accessible to at least a second user account.

Abstract: A system and method for managing permissions of users for a column-oriented data structure, including: generating a column oriented data structure in response to receiving a request to generate the data structure from a first user device associated with a first user account, wherein the data structure comprises a plurality of columns, wherein each column is of single data type and is assigned metadata associated with the single data type; associating the first user account with a first set of permissions associated with the generated data structure; and, associating a second user account with a second set of permissions, wherein the first set of permissions comprises at least one additional permission with respect to the second set of permissions.
