Abstract: To permit the use of a single remote control device in an AV system that can supply incompatible video signals, a switch box (18) receives composite and S-video signals from an AV receiver, transforming these signals into the component video domain, and also receives component video signals from, e.g., a DVD player (14), with the output of the switch box being displayed on a television (16), and also receives a signal from a DVI source (101). The synchronization portion of the component video signal from the DVD player is sent to one of the input ports (14) of the AV receiver as a trigger signal for comparison thereof with the synchronization signal in the switch box (18). When a user selects the AV receiver input port into which the trigger signal is input, the sense signal at the switch box (18) is identical to the synchronization signal of the component video, and the switch box (18) consequently sends the component video to the television (16).
Abstract: The invention discloses a single anchor screw speaker mount 10 with substantially tool free installation where the speaker mount 10 itself can be utilized as the mounting tool. Utilizing a surface specific screw 52, speaker mount 10 is affixed to surface 15 by hand rotation until flush with mount plate 20 then adjusted for speaker placement by rotation around the anchor screw hexagonal head receptacle 40 and ball joint component 60.
Abstract: A surround sound system and method involving a surround sound tower; a base plate; and a structure for positioning the surround sound tower on the base plate, the surround sound tower being mounted on, and normal to, the positioning structure for customizing sound direction and constructive interference patterns by interactively positioning the sound tower and/or at least one sound tower and by modular usage of tweeters, economizing floor space, especially in a home theater environment. The positioning structure may have a structure for indicating an angular rotation of the surround sound tower relative to the base plate and a structure for facilitating rotation of the angular rotation indicating structure.
Abstract: An apparatus (100) and a method (M) for packaging, displaying, and storing an electronic product having a front portion (10) including a complementary contour (11), a back portion (30) including a complementary contour (31), and an inner portion (20) including a complementary contour (21), the inner portion (20) being disposed between the front portion (11) and the back portion (30), and the front portion (10), the back portion (30), and the inner portion (20) being fitted together via their respective complementary contours (11, 31, 21).
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for packaging, displaying, dispensing, and storing at least one product, having an inner packaging member and an outer packaging member, the outer packaging member being slidably mounted over the inner packaging member. The inner packaging member may have a structure for retaining a product, such a compartment, a structure for separating the compartment, such as a wall, a complementary contour for accommodating the product, such as a power or a battery cell. The outer packaging member may have a backing member, such as at least one insert, a flange for accommodating and supporting the at least one insert, a roof member, and a section for accommodating an advertisement of the at least one product. The packaging apparatus may have a structure for mating and locking the outer packaging member to the inner packaging member for facilitating engagement and disengagement. The outer packaging member and the inner packaging member may together have a complementary geometric configuration.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting an HDMI signal to a remote location. The method splits the signal into a multitude of signals that are transmitted down cables. The split signals are collected into a single signal at the receiving end at the remote location. An apparatus for splitting the signals and collecting the split signals is illustrated.
