Abstract: Various aspects are directed to a computer system for implementing an interface for presenting metric data to a user, the computer system may comprise a storage medium, which may, in turn, comprise a sitemap. The sitemap may define an organization of portal pages and wherein each portal page comprises at least one region defining a metric data type and a metric data presentation. The computer system may also comprise at least one processor configured to implement a controller unit. The controller unit may be configured to query a data source to retrieve a first data collection, where the first data collection comprises metric data of a first business context. The controller unit may also be configured to render a first portal page selected from the organization of portal pages according to the first data collection.

Abstract: A data feeds platform, comprising a data feed using a data feed protocol. The data feed protocol comprises, a feed header defining at least one identification attribute, a data header defining a data structure comprising data nodes, each data node corresponding to a subset of the data, and a data section, the data section storing the data according to the data structure. A plurality of heterogeneous data protocols is stored. A data input is received in one of the plurality of heterogeneous data protocols. The data input is converted to the data feed protocol, creating the data feed.

Abstract: A system and method for passive real-time order state replication and recovery. Upstream data is received from an upstream system via a reliable transport, the upstream data also received by a supported system. Downstream data is received from the supported system via the reliable transport. Data acknowledgements are received from the supported system acknowledging receipt of the upstream and downstream data. A replicated current order state of the supported system is continuously updated in real-time based on the received upstream data, downstream data and the data acknowledgements. A recovery request is received after the supported system has experienced an outage. The current order state is restored to the supported system by transmitting a recovery message to the supported system containing the replicated current order state.

Abstract: A method for performing a calculation that includes determining solutions for a plurality of problem modules. The problem modules are of differing complexities, and their solutions are combined to determine a solution to the calculation. The method may include directing each of the problem modules to at least one master server, estimating a complexity for each of the problem modules, determining a threshold complexity level, sending problem modules having a complexity exceeding the threshold complexity level to at least one slave server and obtaining solutions for the problem modules therefrom, determining solutions for problem modules having a complexity not exceeding the threshold complexity level in the master server(s), and combining the solutions for the problem modules to determine the solution for the calculation.

Abstract: A user interface for providing information regarding a subject company to a user. The user interface may comprise a company tile, which may have an indicator of the subject company. A state of the company tile, such as, for example, its color, may indicate a property of the subject company. The user interface may also comprise a financial information module displaying financial information regarding the subject company, and a subject individual module displaying information regarding a subject individual related to the subject company. According to various embodiments, the user interface may also include a navigation toolbar including a second company tile comprising an indicator of a second company. Selecting the second company tile may cause the second company to become a new subject company.

Abstract: Relating resources expended by a securities research entity to revenue received by a financial services firm including the securities research entity. A computer system may receive account revenue data indicative of revenue received by the financial services firm from a first customer investment account for at least securities trade execution by the financial services firm for the first customer investment account. The computer system may also receive expense data indicative of expenses incurred by the securities research entity on behalf of the first customer investment account. The computer system may determine a market condition-adjusted elasticity for the first customer investment account.

Abstract: A system and method of determining a model default swap spread for a firm which includes the following steps: (i) determining a calibration group of the firm, wherein the calibration group comprises other firms having a region, a sector and a coarse quality related to the firm; (ii) setting firm leverage variables through combining observable data with a value of at least one model parameter; (iii) calibrating variables based on the calibration group; (iv) calculating the model default swap spread based on at least one of calibration variables; and (v) storing the model default swap spread.

Abstract: Computer-based systems and method for automating the workflow for generating and sending e-mails with attached reports to external recipients in order to reduce security breaches in certain business reporting processes. The system may utilize a first computer system that may import data eligible for attachment to be sent with the e-mail based on user-entered search criteria. The attachments may be strongly encrypted using an encryption program on the user's computer. In some embodiments, a password for decrypting the attachment may be unique to combination of third party (e.g., trading name) and the role of the external recipient with respect to the attachment.

Abstract: A data slot may be reserved for a first thread selected from a plurality of threads executed by a computer system. A memory of the computer system may comprise a plurality of log files and a next free data slot pointer. Each log file may comprise a plurality of data slots and each of the data slots may be of a common size. Reserving the data slot for the first thread may comprise attempting to perform a first atomic operation to write to a first data slot pointed to by a current value of the next free data slot pointer an indication that the first data slot is filled. If the first atomic operation is successful, the computer system may update the next free data slot pointer to point to a second data slot positioned sequentially after the first data slot. If the first atomic operation is unsuccessful, the computer system may analyze the second data slot.

Abstract: Computer-based systems and method are disclosed for grading active money managers. The grading system attempts to identify active money managers with the ability to outperform relevant benchmark indexes and peer active money managers. This may be accomplished by using a point system for calendar years (or other time periods) that awards points based on the degree of difficulty for active money managers to outperform their relevant benchmark index during the calendar year for their investing style. The yearly point total are used to determine a baseline point total, and the money managers are award fractions of the baseline point total based on, for example, (i) how close the money manager's investments match constituents of the money manager's benchmark, and (ii) how close the money manager's return is to the benchmark for the money manager.

Abstract: Methods and systems for risk monitoring and reporting impacts of credit ratings on rated legal entities are provided. In a method of reporting an impact of credit ratings on a rated legal entity, a plurality of credit rating terms related to a rated legal entity are converted to at least one logical trigger comprising one or more logical expressions. The credit rating terms may impact performance of a legal right or obligation associated with the rated legal entity. The trigger(s) are stored in a computer database. At least one trigger is retrieved from the database. A status for one of the retrieved triggers is evaluated based on predetermined values of the logical expression(s) of the retrieved trigger. Status information for at least one rated legal entity is displayed based on the evaluated status of the retrieved trigger(s).

Abstract: Computer-implemented systems and methods for computing a transaction cost metric for a transaction (or trade order) involving a tradable financial product, such as a FX currency pair. The transaction cost metric can be computed pre-trade and compared to a quoted price for the trade from a dealer to evaluate the quoted price. The computed transaction cost metric, which is based on a slippage premium for the trade order, is based on at least a notional size for the trade order. The slippage premium represents a difference between an effective price at which the trade order is filled and a price for the financial product at inception of the trade order. The transaction cost metric may be computed as an average of a strip of options, where the values of the options are computed using an option pricing formula. The strip of options may comprise one or more options, each with different tenors, where the tenors correspond to the expected time periods for orders to arrive to fill the trade order.

Abstract: Methods for generating risk demand indices are provided. In various embodiments, the methods may include selecting a plurality of sub-index modules, wherein generation of each sub-index module involves comparing at least one financial index representative of at least one risky asset to at least one other financial index representative of at least one non-risky asset. The methods may further include combining the selected sub-index modules to calculate the risk demand indices.
